    Bontempo sounds familiar, but I was overseas at the time and there was no boxing on AFN. If it was late 80s to late 90s and not coming out of Mannheim or big enough for RTL, I missed it. I'll make sure to search for that show, though, thanks!

    Bontempo did commentary with Bernstein before Barry Tompkin's joined ESPN. Barry joined ESPN about 1989, and I think Bontempo was with Bernstein before that. He might have filled in for Barry in the 1990's.
