This fight was at 160, and Hagler was a lot bigger than Pac. Not to mention his chin was better than almost anyone else, and without that he would be probably KO'd in the very first round.

I do not think that being southpaw would be the point. Pac is just too small to cut the distance like Hagler so it would go rather like Hearns-Duran.

Anyone giving Pac a remote chance needs to shoot themselves in the head.

But Pacquiao had no problem cutting the distance against Hatton, and the Blade knocked Hearns out.

Claiming Hatton is anywhere near Tommy's level is an absolute insult to Hearns, and Barkley is far bigger, stronger and hits way harder than Pac.
Hearns would hammer Pac in a round, and I love Pacman.

Hearns and Barkley demonstrated that if you pressure Hearns he's not nearly as effective. For my money I think Pac is quick enough to time Tommy's, admittedly, lightning jab, get inside it and punish him to the body. Pac's fast hooks will crumple up the 'other' Hitman and leave him helpless on the ropes, ala round 14 of Leonard Hearns I.

    Pac by TKO 4.

    ;)

Nice to see someone can see sense. Puncher vs. vulnerable chin = Pacquiao by brutal knockout.

Hearns would annihilate Pac but, you're comparing a guy who started his career at 106lbs with someone who started his at 147lbs. That's 41lbs difference or about 40% above the small guy's starting weight category. What's your point? Why don't you compare Hearns with Holyfield and see who wins?

Folks, this thread was meant to put some perspectice on peeps trying to make pac into god. Of course size wise its unfair to match pac with tommy, but if you look at some of the comically serious posts that pac could win (because hagler and barkley are very similiar to pac,NOT.) then
you will hopefully understand my motivation for the thread.....

All joking aside, whoever lands first here would have a near-decisive advantage (because Hearns murders Pac with a single shot and Hearns' legs are crappy), and although it is close, Pac would have a better-than-average chance at landing first with his superior evasiveness at the weight.

Though not true at lighter weights, Pac has had a propensity for ducking and dodging punches when fighting bigger opponents. In fact, I'd make him a favorite to land on Hearns before he has to catch himself, though this is, of course, a gambit.

In order to win, Pac would have to finish super-quick, but because of his short stature, carry-over power and superior coordination (because he's smaller) this would be the easiest part of the job relatively.

    In short, Pac KO1.
