Hearns KTFO Mayweather. Are u kidding? Hearns was from one of the best eras in boxing, when fighters actually fought. He'd kill mayweahter.

Yeah, I don't know any reasons the fight doesn't look like Hearns v. Benitez either. Floyd actually would perform better than Benitez did. Quicker feet, smarter, better defensively.

Oh and by the way, Sugar Ray is a way better match up for Floyd than Hearns.

Why? Oscar beat better welterweights and hurt and staggered better welterweights than Hearns did.

Hearns by decision. I think he'd have Mayweather defensive too much of the bout and wouldn't allow Floyd to get his own solid work in. Hearns style is all wrong for Floyd as others have already pointed out.

Hearns would control range with the jab, and drop the straight right. No, I don't think he stops Mayweather. Too good defensively and an excellent chin as well.

This is pretty common among boxing fans.. "Yeah this current champ is pretty good, but I tell ya! This guy from the past would trash him".

agreed. floyd would do better because benitez came to fight and floyd would come to survive.

i think the fight goes the way of wlad/haye or hopkins/joppy.

    Not by a long shot.
Its a good chin but not one of the greatest in history.

He buckled after 1 single punch from Mosely.... Margarito took round after round of those same bombs before showing any effect.
He has great defense, people mistake that with a ATG chin.

Anyway on topic.... Hearns is a master boxer that can match Floyds speed and has way better overall attributes.

Hearns wins this anyway he likes whenever he likes.
I give Floyd a better chance vs SRR and SRL.... Hearns is the perfect kryptonite for Floyd.

although sweet pea was past his prime floyd would have the same problems that pernell did against tito.

he wouldnt be able to get past the jab or the overhand right. floyd doesnt have ko power in his left hook so he would have nothing to keep tommy off of him.

btw, oscar took mosleys best shots as well. prime winky even gave shane some freebies in the rematch ala mayoga stlye.

Prime Jones had much more of an aura of invincibility than Floyd did or does.. look at him now.
