This time Gayweather faces a guy with outworldly reach, termonuclear-level hitting power, and amazing speed.

Nowhere to run, nowhere to hide. Floyd cant outbox his way out this time.

Hearns by stoppage in 6 or less

Hearns would give Void a terrible beating and knock him out. Of course Void wouldn't have ever stepped into the ring with Hearns.

At 147 Floyd might make it to 5 riding his bike. At 154 Floyd gets the Duran treatment.

Hearns by KO. The only way for Floyd to avoid KO loss is running all night long. Running 3 minutes for 12 rounds.

Hearns was a natural welterweight in his prime during his stay in that division. Mayweather began his career at super featherweight and wouldn't ascend to welter until he was around 30. This match up is disproportionate on so many levels. Hearns wins due to obvious advantages but Mayweather is leagues the p4p better fighter.

He is in my book, but I'll agree to disagree.

I think Floyd could survive like Benitez did.

There are very few fighters I'd favor over Mayweather even at 147 but Thomas Hearns is one of the few.Hearns at welterweight was almost unstoppable I don't know if there are any welterweights I'd really favor over him the only one thing I see as a weakness was at 147 he didn't have the greatest stamina over 15 rounds he was just to trim and his body had trouble carrying him in a tough fight in the final rounds this is what allowed Leonard to beat him. I think Floyd would defend pretty well but Hearns with his fast hands would get off a lot more from the outside and would get through with a few good right hands maybe shaking Floyd up a couple times. I see Floyd going the distance like Benitez did but like Benitez I see him more focused on defense allowing Hearns to win a clear decision.

The first right cross Tommy hits Floyd with it's over, so ridiculous it isn't worth commenting on.

I think Hearns takes it, he is just too big. At 147 I can't see Floyd doing anything to Hearns that would make him worry, he just wouldn't have the power to keep Tommy off, and Hearns has all the physical advantages. Very few welters do match up well with Hearns.
I would be far more interested in seeing Floyd vs. Aaron Pryor, if we are going to match him with a fighter from around that era. I think that would be a great fight, if Floyd had trouble with Maidana in the first fight, I can only imagine what a challenging time Pryor would give him. But at least you wouldn't have the ridiculous physical disparity that exists with the Hearns matchup.
