I'd actually favour prime Mosley over prime Hearns. Despite the fact I favour Hearns over Floyd and Floyd over Mosley.

I just think if Floyd goes into survival mode you'll have a very hard time stopping him.

Anyone can stop anyone, I think it's more likely the hitman wins on points though.

The thing about Hearns is that he's great in fantasy match-ups. On paper, he should've beaten Leonard and probably Hagler too. But then there's the stupid factor with him. He's prone to do something stupid like not clinch when he's gassed or go to war for no reason with a guy who can't outbox him. So I think he should outbox Mayweather with his jab but the ever present stupid factor lingers. Hearns probably would be able to stay focused though because Mayweather doesn't really possess the same ability to hurt him as the men he lost to, which seems to be what usually derailed the game plan.

You got a point .... the unexpected/stupid factor happens in real life and real boxing, and then we are left with a big "what if?".

But consider that it is not just Hearns the only boxer who made legendary silly mistakes: what if Billy Conn just plays safe in the 13th against Louis? What if Foreman doesn't fall for the rope-a-dope-? What if Moorer for once listen to Atlas and stays away of Foreman? :patsch

Fantasy match ups dont measure well the "mistake" factor because we don't really know if our favorite boxer will make something silly, so it is pure speculation. However, other factors (historical records, past performances, career statistics, etc.) are valid elements to make a reasonable case of "fighter A defeating fighter B". :deal

Thus, in absence of some unexpected/mistake factor the conclusion still stand "true": Hearns is the clear favorite here for a long shot.

I think Floyd goes into his shell once he feels the power just like Benitez did.
