Thomas The Hitman Hearns vs Donald Curry, at 147 lbs, both prime, 15 rounds. Could the Cobra take the Hit Man? Would Thomas stop a prime 1985 Curry?

Curry was a weight bully who killed himself to get to 147, but that won't do him any good against Hearns. The real Cobra takes this one.

I like Hearns in the matchup also. Probably by stopping Curry.

I loved Donald Curry but I just don’t think he had the durability to withstand the Hitman who had too many tools

I also see a competitive well matched fight that ends with Hearns bombing Curry out in the mid rounds.

Hearns takes Curry out no later than 6-7 rds. Possibly earlier. Curry's wide stance and up right body positioning would prove disastrous against a fighter as deadly as Hearns.
Hearns super quick jab befuddled better skilled fighters like Leonard and Benitez , it wouldn't have much an issue finding Curry.
If Hearns finds his opponent easy with his jab, his appetizer, that main course of a right hand will soon follow, Curry didn't have the greatest chin, or will. Fight could be shockingly easy for Hearns, similar to another skilled fighter he fought, James Shuler who was supposedly a serious threat.

Although Donald Curry is no Jose Pipino Cuevas, I do not think that he could defeat a Thomas Hitman Hearns at 147lns or any weight for that matter. Hearns has the size and the leverage, and even if Curry's boxing skills are good, they are not as good as Hearns, who would be pumping out that long left jab to set up his right hand. Curry would not be fighting a Milton McCrory in this bout. The Hitman by KO 6.

Hearns in 3 at the most.

I've got Hearns but perhaps not in a total blowout. Curry had the power to at least shake him up, but it's Hearns that gets a ko win.
    Hearns by ko 8.

Donald doesn't last much longer than his brother, Bruce, did. Hearns in four or five.

I like Donald Curry but not in this match up. I see this fight going similar to the Cuevas fight. Hearns inside 3.

    Hearns by passionless murder.
