They just wrapped up a lengthy time-killing post-mortem on last night's Triller event, Hagler's passing, Fury vs. Joshua, Spence vs. Crawford and other going concerns.

Round 1

Contreras is looking for a sportsmanlike glove touch but Torres sends a warning body jab to say "nah, I'm not in the mood, we're not doing that". Contreras scrambles to get into a circling rhythm, putting his guard up, pushing out some defensive jabs. Torres crowds in, looming tall, jabbing down into Contreras' third eye, and then quickly turns over a left hook behind his right temple and puts him down hard and fast in the first half-minute. Contreras is up, does a quick sign of the cross over his chest, and begins to bob and weave, throwing jabs into Torres' chest but getting torn asunder with vicious accurate body hooks as Torres stalks forth confidently. Down goes Contreras to a willing knee, and this one is over.

KO1!!!

...well, I'll be damned, Ken Thompson has nabbed himself a nice looking diamond in the rough prospect here.

60-15 amateur record, highlights being:

• Won silver gloves at age 13
• Won Desert Showdown seven times from 110-132 lbs.
• Won Junior Olympics 3 years in a row
• 2018 Nationals semi finalist
• First amateur fight was at 9 years old in the 85 lbs. division

Torres says his sparring partners and training buddies are Michael Dutchover, Arnold Barboza Jr. and Chon Zepeda. That's some bad ass company.
