not in this case, I'm shocked he said that in an interview. The first fight was semi-competitive, the second fight Wlad blew him out. there is no point in a third one. :-(
Pulev will take this, TT will make it a competetive fight, but he is just too slow and too old for the Bulgarian Cobra

Thompson gets handed shots and final elimantor's at Wlad on a silver plate all his life. Strange how Pulev never got to be fast-tracked like that.
I remember after their 2nd fight Thompson said he didn't want to fight Wlad again as he just can't beat him but that he would not mind a shot at Vitali. I still don't see what the big deal is about Pulev I have watched several of his fights now and just don't get all the uproar over him. Looks very average to me. He is a fresh face at least instead of the usual recycled fighters we get.
how can anyone say wlad is ducking thompson after knocking him out twice already.and as i write this i realise to myself this is esb home of the slightly ******ed... maybe k2 could arrange for vitali vs thompson if he were to beat pulev (cant see him beating pulev tho)..
there is no way in fuk this fight would sell. thompson didnt even win a minute of any round in their last fight
hes tough has a good jab but lacks power..in my eyes he dosnt have the tools to beat wlad but i still wanna see the fight..
It doesn't matter how well it would sell. If Thompson keeps beating other contenders to maintain a high enough ranking and earning and re-earning the spot, he can and ought to reappear a dozen times despite the monotony and predictability of both the outcomes and the in-ring action. Fair is fair.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz the IBF is a joke. out of all the boxers out there the last few years this guy somehow gets to be mandatory 3 times? it goes to show you they have a weak ranking system and guys who drop out of their eliminators could care less about their title. I mean, beating maurice harris a few years ago in an eliminator got him a shot at Wlad ...its a joke bro
Granted, the first couple of tries coming directly off stoppages of Couser and Harris were a bit questionable - but at least here beating Pulev would make for a truly unimpeachable entryway to a world title bout. Many consider Pulev a top 5 HW right now.
