    Eusebio Pedroza

    Henry Armstrong...

Amongst the Heavies: Dempsey, Louis, Lewis, Wlad et al. And amongst 'British level' types, Cooper and Bugner came back.

Now we find out what Price is made of. Is he big enough to make the comeback? Time will tell...

Did you see the fight ?

It was no where near the chin. It landed almost smack on the ear, very slightly behind it. Not as some have suggested, a rabbit punch, but on a very 'sweet' spot. Most HWs would have gone down from that shot.

His problem was LETTING a shot like that hit him. His left hand was down around his knee and he was wide open.

He needs to improve his fundamentals, especially his defence.

Honestly, I don't think he will bounce back. He looked absolutely gutted out there. I don't think he's coming back from this.

He underestimated Thompson, plain and simple. Let his guard down and got caught. Hope he does bounce back but I can't see it. He needs to get in the ring with a series of bums again and essentially start from scratch. Get a run of KO's going and build his confidence up.

So close to betting a tenner on Thompson - would've grabbed £160...

Similar punch that f**ked up Khan.

And people criticise hayemaker for protecting his chin. If you have a weakness cover it up

Punch landed smack on his ear, perforated his ear drum, all this nonsense about it being a rabbit punch etc needs to stop,he was caught with a shot and couldn't recover .. it's as simple as that.

He's bound to be disappointed, esp when being interviewed a few minutes after the fight. Its a huge setback but he will be back.

Don't think a run of KO's will help. I think he needs a few fights against decent, durable but light-handed opposition who he can practice his defense on and get rounds under his belt. Learn to take his time and not rush in leaving himself open. He will learn nothing with a string of KO's and will get caught out again when stepping up the next time if he KO's a load of guys inside a round or two. He needs to realise and accept his chin is a weak point and work out how to protect it. He needs rounds to do it. He should still have plenty of confidence in his offensive abilities.

The highlight for me was the commentator and seconds before he was commenting how Fury and Klitschko would be looking on with interest etc, then just went into shock as he hit the deck. He literally couldn't have timed it any worse

Feel bad for Price himself as he seems like a really nice fella but I can't help but feel some smug satisfaction to see his joyboy fans silenced. The ones calling Fury ****.

Or crying, with his payday vs. Price delayed for a year or two at least.

Also throughout the whole second round Thompson was looking for that shot.

He was clearly open to it and despite Thompson looking for it, he did not cover up. Lack of ring IQ as well shown and not only a technical flaw.
