I am puzzled why Cedric Boswell is not getting bigger fights. Can someone enlighten me? This guy should be fighting a name opponent en route to his shot at the title - or am I missing something?

Boswell has a fight with Kerston Manswell on June 4.

After that he should look to fight Franklin Lawrence or maybe even Holyfield. Some kind of Top 25 guy to put Boswell in position for a title shot.

As for the IBF, what puzzles me is how Harris and Rossy even got so high ranked in the organization. It seems clear enough that certain American promoters have influence on the IBF's decision-making.

Setting up Thompson vrs. Chambers was probably a tough decision for Goosen because 1 of his top-rated heavies will have to lose and might not get another shot.

my point exactly - as for age, I think we've seen it's more about wear and tear. Hatton finished at 29, Hopkins - what is he? 46?

Thompson and Chambers as an eliminator. Now that's what I'm talking about! Why has Wlad been able to duck these two worthy contenders? Oh, wait. No. He actually already clobbered each of them.

Why does the IBF keep doing stuff like this? Remember Povetkin winning their last tournament. And then he "wasn't ready" for Wlad. Dude, you won the tournament how could you not be ready?

Does anyone think the winner of this eliminator would have any chance in a rematch? Find new people to elevate to the mandatory position.

Well, the IBF asked all the contenders to join up. Arreola, Helenius, Banks, Boystov, Mormeck, Dimtrenko...all of em. Thompson wasn't even in the IBF rankings when they first sent out invitations--he was added later.

But what bothers me is why Harris and Rossy were next up? What did they do to get in the IBF Top 15 rankings? On closer inspection, not much. Boswell would have been a better choice to face Thompson.

As it turned out, both Goosen guys had an easy time of it. But Chambers/Thompson itself should be a good fight--I'm looking forward to it.

Boswell is being active this year but he lost quite some time already not fighting at all.

A fight against Lawrence may be within reach.
