Really sorry to start another thread on this but i can't believe these idiots are giving him so much stick for not making the weight. In general, these were the same hypocrites calling him a warrior last night and praising his attitude. It was clear that he was desperate for the fight but time just wasn't on his side and it's highly unfair to give him stick for having a go at trying to bring us a fight to excite us.

And if you were naive enough to have bought the fight before they had weighed in, then I really have no sympathy for you I'm afraid

They should have just had a 10 round catchweight bout.

I get the impression Warren has seen how good the press conferences would be, knows the bout would get huge attention and wants to hype it separately. He can make a lot more money off these two in the future so why rush it? That's what I'd guess anyway.

I don't blame Bellew though. This fight should be a catchweight.

A big disappointment. Bellew shouldn't have been giving it LARGE at the presser though, he's made himself look a right **** now.

People are blaming Bellew because its obvious to everyone that he knew it was impossible to make 175 a few days before the fight yet he told everyone it was fine and then acted the big man at the conference only to then want so BS catchweight:-(

Bellew took the **** today and his reputation will never recover. A lier who took fans for mugs and the fans who paid for the fight off the back of his lies deserve an apology. I am fuming and devastated.

I'm a fan of Bellew and would have relished seeing him get his chance but he got a lot of peoples hopes up by taking the fight when he must have known he couldnt make the weight.

Tony talked Frank into the fight

Franks seen the hype last night and today

Franks said Tony, heres a wager, dont make the weight, we'll make serious money in a few months out of this poss at the Echo Arena. We will let Clev fight for the World Title Sat and you can be his first challenger and we will hype it properly.

    Shake hands.

    Now Bellews a ****

Most of us in Liverpool who are connected in boxing know Bellew is a lying **** for instance he is always bigging the Smiths up but in reality he can't stand them especially Paul

I dont blame Bellew either but its hard to criticise Cleverly for turning down a 10round catchweight contest in favour of a gift of a world title shot

We could stay here all night and blame whoever for all the wrong or right reasons(is that what this thread is for?) everyone is pissed off but with this and the Khan farce a few weeks ago, boxing in Britain is ultimately the loser and that saddens me

To all who run ,who control ,who promote ,who fight, lets hope some lessons are learnt today..........

Get a ****ing life you saddo.

He was given the chance...a chance..of an opportunity to fight someone who he thinks he could beat. Right or wrong I can fully understand why he took the fight.

    Get over it :tired
