In my case the answer is a resounding YES. I had seen his first fight against Pacquiao, his fight against Barrera and his fight against John, and some snippets of his fight against Juarez. I thought against Pacquiao that JMM was able to make it close because of Pac's inexperience more than anything else. Everyone was claiming JMM was the master boxer and i was about to buy into the hype when i saw John vs JMM and thought that John outboxed the stronger and more agressive JMM. Then against Barrera i saw a very shot Barrera give JMM a very tough fight. after this fight i realise that Marquez is a brilliant technical boxer. Extremely smart in the ring. Also this makes me appreciate Chris John a little bit more though i think JMM took him lightly. I think Barrera is a bad style matchup for Marquez as he is a very opportunistic boxer with more pop than JMM and an extremely varied arsenal. Also Barrera is imo overall better than JMM. Also, JMM's trainer is brilliant imo
I find it hard to believe that people could dislike someone whose as technically superb as JMM. An absolute artist in the ring and a cool guy out of it. It sucks that one fight in Indonesia has cost the majority of us a chance to see him succeed on a higher level.
I know, it boggles me that no matter what. He gets in position and throws a perfect shot. If he is hit etc. He does not ever throw shots off balance or out of position. He defintely gets my nod for pure style. :good
No question is a pleasure to watch he got a complete arsenal Pac has granite chin I was watching the fight in a giant tv screen with a great sound and those right hands sounded like bomb Pac won a very close fight I'm sure the third is in the making.
There's nothing to hate about JMM except for just one little fact, That he can never take a loss. Every decision that never got his way seems to be a win for him.
