Sean Sherk tested positive didn't he ? so did sylvia and a bunch of others... the days of no drug testing ? So are you now insinuating that they were ALL roided athletes ? remember when pride fc came to vegas ?... Nastula , Belfort , Randleman...all tested positive...So did Diaz. Hendo , wand , fedor (and all other participants all tested negative)... fixed fights ? again , that's too easy....so , all fights were "fixed" ?... organised crime involved... true...but it was fantastic while it lasted...organised crime or not...what dreamstage entertainment was offering back then was 100 times superior to ufc's version. Sure sure...fedor's career ? can be resumed as fighting Zulu... that's his biggest achievevemt right ? let's ignore everything else...Zulu was "the" fight right ?...for **** sake...it wasn't even for the belt.. I can have the same silly argument with Foreman... Remember Foreman vs Manoel De Almeida anyone ?... and was that fight "the" pinacle of foreman's career ? **** no.. the days of "freak shows"... Oh yeah , they had the freak shows...and ?... are you forgetting some of the biggest and most important fights in mma history that pride fc gave us ?...are you just gonna concentrate yourself on the "freaks" ?...guess what ? they had both the freaks and the top fights ... again , no reason to **** all over this org for the sake of shitting on it because it's now the trendy thing to do...
Seriously Duke do you see combat sports through rose tinted glasses? Corruption exists in EVERY fight organisation out there.Its part of the territory.Its not excusable but the bottom line is it happens and its happening in the UFC you can believe that. In terms of the action and the fights PRIDE was uncomparable. As for the politics and its background i dont think it really benefits anyone here on this board to make comments on it when where all simply fans and have no REAL insight into what goes on behind closed doors.Really and truly WHO CARES.
I don't think all Pride fighters were drug users, but they were never tested in Japan. I can not name a single time a fighter ever failed a drug test or failed to make weight at a Japanese pride event, the first show in the US both happened.
Its all fairly immaterial now and purely conjecture.PRIDE WAS more exciting than the UFC FACT.The rules allowed for this.Wether you think the fighters were on juice or not making weight is simply not important anymore. For all its glaring flaws PRIDE worked.For all the UFC`s flaws it works.Theres holes in both.Its only a matter of time before anyone gets found out.

I don't believe I have done or said anything to indicate I'm a fan of Dana White. Or do I need to constantly make snarky remarks about the UFC and bemoan how terrible it all is to not be labeled a nutlicker?
