Those who called FMJ/Guerrero a cherrypick should call Pac/Rios one too....right?

and I actually am looking forward to Pac/Rios which should be a war and FOTY candidate, but if Mayweather fighting a legitimate top 5/10 welter is a cherrypick, isn't Pac fighting a top 10 guy from a weight class below one as well?

They are obviously picking Rios as he's made to order for Pac to build his confidence against so he can fight the Bradley/Marquez winner next spring.

No different than Floyd being off a year...the difference is he was fighting a guy was ranked #1 by the WBC for his title.

Is Pac bringing Rios to WW?:huh

Yeah I agree with that but he got knocked out his last fight an it is a good comeback fight to test were he is an I think it is a cherrypick to make him look good an get his confidence back but also Floyd vs Guerrero was a cherrypick I said on a thread In the build up to the fight that Floyd was on a other level to guerrero I said guerrero is a solid fighter but Floyd is elite but Floyd was always going to take a fight he could easy win it was the first fight of his big deal with ShowTime I just hope now he fights better fighters

The winner of Bradley/JMM is the WW King! Pac will take on the winner after he crushes Rios!

Of course it's a cherry pick, this is boxing. There is no set schedule. The top fighters pick and choose their opposition. Of course, you still have to fight the fight. Martinez hand picked Martin Murray, and that almost backfired big time. Pacquiao/Rios should be an entertaining scrap, cherry pick or not.

Why would it be? Rios was 160 lbs in the ring vs Alvarado. If anything, it's doing Rios a favor in giving him a huge payday at a weight he'd be comfortable with.

Why? there both coming off loses. It's a good fight for them to get back on the spotlight. For Rios if he beats Pac he'll definitely get famed because of it. For Pac it could be to see how much he has left after getting ktfo and see if he can still hang with the elite.
