Floyd played him like a puppet. Hatton was clueless to what Floyd was doing for the 1st 6 rounds. Then, Floyd went on the offensive, and it was over.

Me & about 20 others, mostly casual boxing fans made a night of it, getting mashed on beer n vodka n ****, we all wanted Hatton to win & I really thought he`d do better than he did but every time I was asked who I THOUGHT was gonna win, Id say Floyd Mayweather on pts (of course I was both right & wrong)

FMJ just has too many levels & gears to go up & down & I knew Ricky would run out of ideas eventually.

    ^ This.

There were a ton of people claiming that based on Hatton's fights with Castillo and Tszyu, he was going to walk through Mayweather's punches, manhandle him and then bang him out. Now, it's almost a universal sentiment that Mayweather was "cherrypicking" a "smaller man" who didn't belong in the same ring with him.

i remember a lot of people prior to the fight see it as a 50/50, not on this site, but on a lot of other boxing forums. They talk about that "castillo blueprint" im sure anyone here remembers that ****

Only the brits thought he stood a chance. And you'd be hard pressed to find one to provide an actual reason why they thought that other than his nationality.
