what raised a flag for me with Ortiz is when he said in a pre-fight interview about his training camp "I took a break from training yesterday because my body told me to take a day off"

In my book if you're training for a fight then the only one who can tell you to take a day off is your trainer. That kind of raised suspicions when i heard that.

That being said, I don't doubt his courage. although he quit he is a tough *******

Who said he "quit", he just didnt feel like fighting anymore...:D

GTFO, man he quit there is nothing more to say. Didnt you see him shake his head after getting up? The ref asked him, do you want to continue and he just shook his head.....

On another point, a lot of young fighters now days tend to get discourage when they see their own blood and I dont know why that is.....

He did quit though. He said in the interview, "I'm not gonna go out on my shield."

Freddy must be spinnin in his grave. And he definitely lost his Mexican status.
