Those who think its the end of the World for Tony Jeffries....

read today his dad has said they looking into going over to train in the us,think that would be a good move.

 

in my opinion in his first couple of fights he looked better no offense to bobby rimmer but sometimes boxers and trainers dont match in some areas maybe he will regret leaving joe gallagher so quickly

 

I thought a loss would of been good for Tony but a draw should get the message home. If i recall half the forum early on here were predicting him to be best suited to the pro style. He started off well with a decent jab and had a lot coming behind it besides defence. I can remember tipping him to blow through every opponent up until top domestic level. I think from there on everyone on here seen the rest of the Olympians go from strength to strength while Tony seemed to fall in love with his own power and regress a bit.

I still think Tony has it in him to get to domestic level but i think he will need to change a lot. I would seriously think him topping the bill this early on would affect him as well don't see why Frank done that to be honest. Having Jefferies on the undercard would still draw the fans in but he should probably try taking him out of his comfort zone for the next one.

 

I bet Reid knew how many rounds his fight was scheduled for though!!

I don't hqave anything against Jeffries, but I just couldn't resist making that comment

 

Its funny you put this quote out because I was thinking of the Reid draw early in his career and that Reid was a bronze medallist
