The controversial (decision-wise) Chris Eubank-Dan Schommer fight: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mRMR0BbeWKU[/ame] Eubank himself admitted that if he himself was judging the fight based on boxing and countering, he would have given it to Schommer. (CE does suggest in his autobiog though he was badly ill that day.)
:good Cheers mate, I was missing that one from the collection. Its worth checking out the other fights the Youtube poster has actually, some quite rare ones (including loads of Hearns and Corrie Sanders).
Actually, no. I mean, Eubank clearly lost. And looked awful in the process. I mean really, really ****. But it wasn't THAT bad a robbery. You could give Eubank a good 4/5 rounds if you're feeling generous.
So just to get this straight, you're saying it was bad enough for Ian John Lewis to give Eubank all 12 rounds? :think
Schommer is a strange one - he was a top amateur beating Virgil Hill, Bomani Parker and Tim Littles, probably the best in the States or even the World based on those victories.
The judge who scored 117-113 for Eubank either watched with his eyes shut, was paid good money to score it for Eubank or is just plain incompetent as it's worst.
