    I mean, when you look at the body of work of a guy who is clearly a very limited fighter. Lee, Mora x2, Dzinzurik. Compare that to a lot of the guys getting better billing than he is.

    Just sayin...

    Hope he gives that brat hell come fight night.

    I agree

    I think Berto is limited ass hell and gets more respect, because he had a undefeated run and paper title.

    yeah Berto is a very talented athlete who looks flashy as hell against cab drivers but his total lack of top shelf boxing skills is painfully on display against good competition.

    i remember watching the first lee fight saying "whoa holy **** this is happening" since manny steward was saying that lee was going to walk over vera and then basically take pavlik's title in the next fight.

    His 29 fights overall were much more difficult than cinamon. He was brought along the hard way. He was not carefully matched like cinamon toast.

    Didn't Vera rob Mora in one of those? Now Mora is a fighter than is over looked in my opinion.

    I don't mean Vera is overlooked I just mean he's made the most out of his few opportunities and limited skill set.

    I definitely have respect for him. He just goes out and tries his best. It's one thing for a limited fighter to get an upset and a shot at some good fights. It's another to maximize those opportunities. You never hear about him pricing himself out of a fight. He seems to be a guy who just wants a chance.

    No. Some people think both were robberies, but neither was.

    Vera beat him legitimately twice on work rate. Mora did bettter work both mights but nowhere even remotely near enough. Vera missed a lot and looked foolish at times but still landed a lot more than Mora despite the much lower percentage just by throwing nonstop while Mora went long stretches putting in no work.

    very good career. hes won enough to stay at the top, an if he beats jr hes gonna get another or if he even makes it close, which he can do. u never no with jr he can come in slacking, however he is usually full of heart n energy just like vera so these guys most likely gonna go toe to toe and stylistically for vera its great. if he gets a big platform on hbo n gets a great oppurtunity im sure he would rather fight a guy like jr then sumone that he would have to chase around all night

    vera was just recently quoted as doubting whether jr would make weight. i've seen pictures and jr looks huge but who knows...he's been known to cut a ton of weight.
