I say Sugar Ray Robinson ...Record speaks for itself ... Heart not questionable ..ability/skill..second to none ..

    What say the 'experts' ????

I don't even have Ali in my Top10 ... there are more deserving fighters. For me there is no clear cut GOAT, there are 4-6 fighters on a very similar level who could claim this position.

Robinson is GOAT in my eyes anyway. Ali's position in the All Time list is based alot on his decisions outside the ring as much as his achievements in the ring.

Yeah, Ali is not a consensus GOAT. Or even close. SRR usually gets the honor. Harry Greb and Hank Armstrong get the honor on many lists too. Ali is most often considered the GOAT at heavyweight, but not the pound-for-pound GOAT. Even Ali called SRR the GOAT, as did Joe Louis and Floyd Patterson. Ali isn't even really the definitive ATG heavyweight. Many feel it's Louis.

:good I have Louis and Ali tied for number one at hw and Langford up there with Greb, Robinson and Armstrong with Charles and Fitzsimmons just slightly behind them. I know guys who think Fitzsimmons should be number one and there are arguments to back that claim.

Gah! I didn't mention Langford! :patsch Good call. I just woke up half an hour ago. If it were 45 minutes, I would've mentioned him. :D

Apparently this TS does. Ali done hypnotized him by saying it over and over again.

    Joe Louis.

I'm only speaking about the HW division, since most people don't consider Ali the greatest (overall) anyway.

Robinson was the best p4p fighter that ever lived, Ali was 2nd p4p in my book & no1 at HW.

If Ali was never born, Joe Louis would have been the greatest HW ever no doubt.
