So what tune from the Spice Girls or Amy Winehouse would you choose to represent your nation? God, there is no England anymore. But on the other hand, you are right about the "royal spongers".

 

jerusalem would be a vastly superior choice to that dirge that droans on about those parasitic leeches.

 

They should have no place in boxing whatsoever. Unless it is the Russian anthem.

I have never minded admitting it when I am wrong, and that happens sometimes. This is one of those occasions. Obviously, I differ with you, not about the worthless royal family, but on the quality of the anthem God Save the Queen, but the one you mentioned, Jerusalem, I agree with you 100% about that one. That would be a fantastic national anthem, and I don't think I've ever heard anyone suggest that before. It would be far superior to GSTQ.

The only thing I hate about national anthems are the religious references.

 

Theres no need for national anthem UNLESS they are fighters from two different countries. In that case it just adds to the anticipation

 

Jerusalem is great, i had it playing at my wedding.

It wasnt long ago that the British Government wanted it banned for being sung at events because it might offend ethnic minorities:-(

 

I don't mind the national anthems. It is what it is.

 

I think they add to the drama and make the fight seem much more important than what it really is but who said DRAMA is bad, All the great fights have DrAma.

 

I usually go refill my drink or go to the bathroom during national anthems.
