Great fight and possibly the reason Ike had become insane later . TBH, I liked the Byrd-Tua & Lewis-Tua fights better though I can never find them on youtube anymore.
true there was some missed blows by tua that had my hart racing thinking "thank god for him that didnt land lol"
As somebody else said, 2 young heavyweights risking it all by fighting each other. Even though Tua lost, it really did his profile and marketability no harm at all. In fact, despite the result it was probably good for both guys careers. If only guys nowadays thought the same way (fans too). Rather than getting to the top of the rankings by fighting huge numbers of also rans, actually fighting each other might prepare them better for when they do get their chance at a title shot, rather than pulling at at age 31 because you're "not ready yet".
I've been saying this for years. Not only did Tua win that fight, but you are absolutely right that Ibeabuchi is ridiculously overrated. People make him seem to be some world beater, but he had TWO fights against live bodies, one of them - this one - that he arguably lost! He has ONE definitive victory over a rated fighter, that's IT!
rubbish!!!! phucking haters shouldn't comment on some things. yes he did win. considering he only had 20 fights, how many big names do u expect him to have on his resume. very few fighters with 30/40 fights have wins over guys like tua and byrd. two of the best fighters of the decade. and he beat both of them with only having fought 20 times ffs. overrated? don't think so.
