After seeing the latest video featuring Floyd Mayweather and Bill Haney, I'm starting to find Haney less appealing as a boxing father. He should tone down the inappropriate language and accept his son's losses gracefully. Teofimo Lopez's dad now seems like a more agreeable figure.

Floyd and Bill had a son and named it Devin. I don't mean they literally copulated with each other and that one of them gave birth to Devin which I'm not even sure is physically possible for two guys to do even if one of them is a bit sus like Floyd. No I mean that ugly little brat Devin is as much a creation of Floyd's as he is Hobo Bill's. Floyd is Devin's boxing idol, his mentor, his inspiration and who he modelled his entire style and career path on. All that running and holding, stinking out the joint, jousting PEDs in his ass, the copious amount of smoke and mirrors, the obsession with material wealth, and the utterly grotesque fanbase all stems from the architect of the abomination and hideous stain on the sport that is modern American slickness Mr. Floyd ''Money'' Mayweather.

Hell, Ryan was even supposed to be Haney's Oscar but it all backfired spectacularly because Haney made the mistake of fighting a prime active version of Ryan opposed to the inactive past prime Oscar who had only fought once in almost three years Floyd cherrypicked who should've been 1-3 in his last 4 fights.

What the hell do you think would've happened had Floyd fought a prime active version of Oscar if the extremely inactive already a coke addict by that time past prime version of Oscar could take him down to the wire and beat his ass in many people's eyes ? The exact same thing which happened to his protege Devin against Ryan. It really isn't rocket science

While Floyd is so much better than Haney the fact is that he started protecting his so-called '0' after Castillo whooped his arse.

Hence the cherrypicking of B- level guys like Berto, Ortiz, Guerrero, Baldomir etc.

Or fighting elite guys who were clearly past it (Shane, Oscar, Pac) or didn't belong to that division (JMM).

His safety-first style was the main reason of the numerous borefests in his later career.

I'd say Cotto was his best career win since Cotto was closer to prime than the others and went on to win some big fights later.

Sometimes cherrypicking nearly went wrong - when old and inactive Mosley almost knocked Floyd out in the 2nd round. Or when crude brawler Maidana (who already lost to the likes as Andriy Kotelnik, Amir Khan and Devon Alexander) gave him a hell of a fight and came within a round or two to get the win.

Still imagine Haney against these list of opponents and he'd suffer numerous beatdowns. Floyd was on another level

Yeah there was a lot of smoke and mirrors and deck stacking and he was obviously on PEDs too but he was on a different level and, in complete contrast to Haney, he was the antithesis of a weight bully. But he is the architect of the abomination that is modern American slickness and his influence on the sport and subsequent generations of boxers has not been a good one.

I saw that weird "convo" Bill had w/ Floyd, uh Mayweather. I agree w/ everything you said above.

Serge, I have to ask. A departure of your usual lovelies, is your current avatar a caricature of Serge Gainsbourg :D

My thoughts are that Bill put up a much better fight than Manny Pacquiao, Hatton, and DLH did.
