There's nothing fake about missed workouts and spending Sundays (Pac's suppossed rest day) taking 5 hour trips to Manila to do a fund run. Even Pac's fans have been vocal in noticing Pac's decreased speed. If the Cotto fight camp had team members fighting and typhoons (at least they did not miss workouts), this time around the problems lie within Pac and his seemingly lack of focus and added commitments as a Congressman. (Note: HBO did not make up the part about Manny being a Congressman)
I don't see what was the big deal about going to Vegas, he was going to be there for 2 hours, they said it in the freaking show. Take a plane in the afternoon after a shower after training, fly 45 minutes to Vegas, come back 2-3 hours later for bed time. Come on.:verysad This show was made to feed the hype machine. If Pacquiao losses is because he was distracted, if he wins is because he is superman. If Margarito looses is because he deserved it, if he wins he gets redemption and Arum has his fighter back. Give us a freaking break!
I dont buy it, Roach is trying to get Margarito to think Pacquiao isnt ready for it, so that Margarito comes in gunz blazzing so that Manny can catch Tony charging in....
That's interesting - because Garcia (Margaritas new trainer) advised his guy to stay cool and calm all the way through the fight.
Pacquiao isn't fully focused on Margarito like the way he should be - IMO. I'm beginning to give Margarito a bigger chance of winning this.
What makes more ppv sales, showing Pacquiao joking around and not giving a **** about training because he knows his opponent is a joke, or showing Pacquiao getting scolded by his father Freddie Roach, while Roach pretends to be worried, meanwhile showing clips of Margarito chopping wood shirtless.
Margarito has already lost this fight, when asked what he thinks he will do to Manny. "uhm i don't think about the fight i just do training and inbetween rounds we have jokes". Yup Marg is going to be a real beast isnt he.
this. that fake conversation Ariza and Roach were having with Pac over the Vegas trip was hilarious. Ariza is not a good actor; "Seriously, bro?" :rofl no way he would have the balls to talk to Pac like that if it wasn't staged.
I like Garcia. Was a former champion himself. Has a win over Molina and was handling himself very well vs. Corrales untill this: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l2gTu3cffkk&feature=related[/ame] ...gave Casa a good run too. Seems to be a humble guy and looks happy to be a trainer.
Garcia said, "I can't see how he can overpower you". Like in previous opponents, they are underestimating pac again. The distracted part is kind of exaggerated a little bit.
That convesation between Pac and Ariza/Roach in the corner about Pac going to Vegas looks choreographed.
Having spent alotta time with Pac at the gym 'n with his team in Vegas before fights, Z, think I can give a perspective that sheds some light on this. Pac's not introspective -- spends NO TIME looking into his navel. Being with his team 'n his fans 24/7 ('n any chaos) is what he thrives -- absolutely NO DISTRACTION.
It's all hype but I guess it does have some truth to it. I just can't for the 13th to watch a badass fight.
If Roach was really worried he would keep it to himself. It's just publicity. Look at Mayweather - when he has an easy opponent like Marquez he builds them up, when he has a hard opponent like Mosley he talks them down.
