He said he isn't thinking about Pacquiao, just about getting all his training done and by fight night everything will fall into place. He said he jokes around after rounds.

I thought that this episode was weak. I thought that Garcia is doing a good job training Margarito though, and giving him the right advice.

I dont know why people keep saying its fake, whats fake about facts?

Its fact that he kept going off to Manila to do charity run, visit president, whatever. Its fact that he is now a congressman, do you see Arnold Swarzenegger making too many movies these days? Of course he can leave it for a bit but running a province and leaving it behind for a couple of months must be playing on his mind. Its also fact that he did fly off to Vegas instead of training to endorse a senator, theres pictures of it ffs.

lol, whats fake? Sure HBO is highlighting these things to make a point but its not like these points aren't valid.

    Pac will blast Margarito

They want the fight to seem 50 50 in order to sell PPVs

MARGARITO WITHOUT PLASTER IS NOTHING SPECIAL

I love Corona with a lime but nah, it was probably Carling or Fosters that we buy in crates.

    Corona and Cobra = MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Um HBO makes 24/7. HBO sells the PPV.

They want the most sales they can get. They have to have some kind of angle to make the fight promotable, Margo has been out of the picture for 2 years. They have to make it seem like he has a really big chance.

These things are TRUE, m, but to decide what effect they'll have on Pac, read my earlier post.

I agree. This is one of the first times I've heard dialogue on 24/7 and said to myself "Damn, that **** couldn't be more scripted!" Like OP said, they are playing up this distracted angle way too much in order to sell the fight. Do you think Bob arum would have Manny fly to Vegas for his endorsement if he thought Manny was struggling in camp?

Look at it this way, if Pac loses, Arum makes some money in a Pac/Tony rematch, but loses out BIG TIME on a Pac/Mayweather bout. Mannny is gonna look great come fight night, they just got to do whatever they can to sell the fight. 6.5 odds to 1 looks terrible for the average fan, and apparently they only sold 25,000 tickets up until yesterday (well below what they expected).

Personally... I think that if Pac was kept from doing all of the outside things that he does, it would distract him more. Pac seems confident, happy, and energized.

Every 24/7, for every fight... Roach has complained about all of the people in the gym.... Pac's focus, ect... that's just how it is. Freddy might feel more comfortable if Pac wasn't so outgoing... but it's what he lives for. I think that it helps him, and unlike Roach... that is Pac's comfort zone.
