Some people are saying that this 24/7 was boring, I bet they say that because there wasn't any fights between family members ala Floyd's 24/7.

If you like fights between family members go watch re-runs of Geraldo and Jerry Springer.

Two things that stood out...Cotto's 13yr old son screams alternative lifestyle.....I'd literally destroy Pacman on the basketball court. Lol!

Show more footage of the fighters training, running, hitting mitts, bags, jumping rope, sparring. Talk to the fighters about what motivates them, what they think about their upcoming opponents, what they think about their past fights.

Who cares if Freddie Roach likes to take walks in the morning? Yes, the storms in the Phillipines are a tragedy but i didn't tune into HBO to see a documentary about natural disasters in 3rd world countries. I want to hear about the back story behind Pac, the one behind Cotto. I understand these fighters may have been on 24/7 before so maybe they covered that already... I dunno I didn't see those series if they aired. But they better just rehash that old stuff if they did it,a nd just go over what's new and focus on training. Interview the fighters more. For a show hyping up the fight, it's weird that they probably only had 20 seconds of direct dialog from each fighter.

They are basically being as boring as possible. They aren't focusing on boxing, they touched a little bit on drama but never really give any details on it. I used to be excited at the thought of watching 24/7 but I'm beginning to realize this series hasn't really been that good, i was only excited because it was one of the few things related to boxing that on TV, and i wanted it to be good. But it's just boring. I'll watch it anyways for the small hope that there might be tidbits of interesting stuff on there (like Marquez' choice of beverage). But i'll no longer make it a point to watch the show live. From now on I'll DVR it and watch it when I can get to it during the week.

I'm amazed as to how boxing fans can be bored by 24/7.. especially for a fight such as Cotto v Pac..

Another example of completely useless side stories that they do on 24/7 was in the Pac/Hatton series. That one guy who is handicapped or blind in one eye or limping or something (no offense to whatever it was, i just can't remember it right now). What was up with that. They spent way too much time on him and that storyline was going nowhere. Oh okay, they let him staying the gym and he likes to write down random notes on scraps of paper about what he's learning from Freddie Roach coaching his fighters? I want to see what he was writing on those little pieces of paper. They just dramatize random **** that is not that interesting. Just always feel like there is something missing after watching 24/7.

Floyd's father and uncle were interesting points in the show. Aside from the drama, at least they are boxing characters and most of the time they were talking about boxing and the drama they were in was related to the fighter.

HBO needs to revamp this series. Looks like it's just a garbage checklist item for their promotional machine. When you think about it why would you expect any kind of real and interesting content to come out of the company that is staging the fight. You can tell this show is not managed by someone who loves boxing.

    My rant is over.

I think it was a great first episode and why are some complaining about the not enough sparring being show? Then some have the nerve to say 24/7 is good only when Mayweather is in it and then they complaining about not enough sparring? It's only episode one, lets relax and enjoy the rest until the Nov 14th date.:good

the one thing i noticed is that why is roach always seems to give the impression that pacs past fights have been cherry picked.. :" dela hoya weight drained" and now "hatton not that good"

I think the camp location problems Pacquiao is having could play into the fight somehow. We know Pacquiao will come focused and in shape and even at his worst he can take out most of the fighters in the world, but not being able to run, and things running into the normal training camp schedule seem to be taking its toll on Pacquiao. We'll see come fight night though.
