I watched it a second time late last night and mare's won it for sure, when they have a rematch and if Mares will win for sure.

I think there is a bit of not respecting people outside our own borders on both sides of the pond (more so in the US) Although i have a theory on that and i think it's a "loss leader" marketing ploy initiated by the media and insider Boxing Circle (like Hopkins with Joe C) to create a perpetual Cash Cow to get us guys across the Pond and into their money supply. Follow the $ trail and you'll always have the "truth"; no UK/US boxing purist will ever dispute the greats though.

There's no need for that Jordan. He might've been wrong about Mares, but Fleaman is a real dude who knows his boxing, so stop it with that childish gloating nonsense because it doesn't cut it in this building.

You seem like an enlightened poster, but i've also noticed on other threads that you are proving to be a cancer with a conversation that didn't even involve you. Now please stay in the pocket and focus on the overall picture and not dissect a red herring to allow you to blast a fellow Brit ESB family member!

I just wasn't impressed with his comp.

Thought Hozumi was chasing a rematch with Montiel?

Jordan1: STFU. We're all wrong sometimes.

I wasn't overly impressed I have to say...I didn't see anything outstanding. I saw a good competetive fight, a very good fight between two well skilled guys but not exceptional talents.

Even his speed, was a bit...meh to me. For a little guy, it was above average I'll say that but it didn't have me up on the edge of my seat like I was witnessing Salvador Sanchez type speed. He was very hittable, I'd go as far as to say his defence was quite poor against a guy with fairly slow hands. He did show me a lot more heart and toughness than I anticipated but as far as skills, I thought they both lacked a bit.

I was just surprised he had a degree of durability; though to be fair, he didn't trade constantly, but that showed a bit of itnelligence.

I do find a lot of people go overboard when a fighter shows a Plan B nowadays; though Mares certainly exceeded my expectations, and I'm happy to admit that.

really wish Joan Guzman was coming through now. When he was at Bantamweight he was phenomenal and as good as all the guys there are now currently, he would smash them all.

His comp wasn't great at Bantam though.

I'd like to see Alfonso Zamora get a shot today; he was unlucky to come across the 3rd greatest Bantam of all time (IMO)

    Agreed...

Alex Arthur would have beat him though.

I promise that I won't be the one to say 'I told you so' when things really go south from this guy's inconcistency, sarcasm, rhetorical BS, and child like manners on knowing when a debate is cooked, versus the adolescent manner in which he continues to nag and bring honest fans down to his level. He is a cancer and not good for the whole of the Family, but I digress because this is not an office envir, it is a cyber voice for the cheap seats.

 I love trolls. I love to bamboozle them with knowledge.

But when I want that, I go to the general. The classic and British forums have been inundated with time wasting ****s over the past few months.
