Fury & Usyk will retire one another and AJ crys into Eddie Hearn's lap.

The expression on Tiresome Story's face is priceless. The Usyk fight will basically confirm whether his careful matchmaking has resulted in a career of smoke and mirrors, or he's the real deal but just been softly matched for whatever reason.

Nobody called him softly matched after his Wilder trilogy. AJ's last 4 opponents are JUST AS SOFTLY matched as Fury's given half of them Fury has already fought....difference is Fury is securing the bag with Usyk with Usyk's team nearly made a grave error in fighting Dubious.

    Great video Rummy!

I remember back after the Usyk losses, Joshua was being written off by lots of folks and I posted that he seemed like he was getting better between fights and it seems he has continued to improve. I say seems to continue to improve, because Ngannou was in no way shape or form really any kind of a test at all, he was slow plodding unimaginative with a pawing jab that he kept bringing back so low he was practically begging for a right hand LOL

Wilder is another product of careful matchmaking, his resume like Fury's is a laundry list of barrel bottom fighters.

Fury's single and only decent win against an established fighter who wasn't a complete hype job was against a disinterested Wlad.

Just as you have claimed Fury was against Ngannou, Wlad was equally unmotivated against Fury with well documented issues in his personal life.

Fury won in a fight that was the most memorable for being the least memorable fight ever. The fact some posters on here have the gaul to refer to it as a 'schooling' still makes me chuckle. He then ran from the rematch... twice, had a mental breakdown then returned to fight a string of no names before matching up with Wilder... who's literally beaten no one.

Fury has everything to prove at this stage, because right now the snake oil has run out, fans are becoming wise to his schtick and no longer falling for it.

Joshua may not be the 2nd coming of Lennox Lewis, but his resume is infinitely better than the self proclaimed gypsy king. By extension, Usyk until proven otherwise is 'the man' at heavyweight, Joshua 2nd and Fury a distant third. If Fury wins, like I said, then he's the real deal, but up until now, taking the path of least resistance says otherwise.

Pathetic excuse as if Wilder was a God tier fighter with an incredible resume. Wilder resume is even worse than Fury and the only fighter Fury was forced to fight was Whyte all the other fighters he choose them. It's his own damn fault for those difficult fights such as Wallin and Ngannou.

You are right @Rumsfeld AJ rose like a phoenix from the ashes.
I would like to add that after the lackluster edition in the fight with Jermaine Franklin, AJ looked better and better in each of his subsequent wins.
Knocking out Robert Helenius is better than beating Jermaine Franklin on points.
Stopping the fight with Otto Wallin (who gave Fury a hard time) is better than knocking out Helenius.
Knocking out the "new star" (due to the fight with Fury) Ngannou in the second round is better than stopping Wallin.
I believe that the "triangle rivalry" between AJ and Fury has been going on since the fights with Wlad, and that the fight AJ Vs. Fury was supposed to take place regardless of the outcome of the Fury Vs. Usyk.
P.S. nice video as always :)

Not Wilders fault Povetkin failed a drugs test. He fought Ortiz who nobody wanted a piece of even though he was nearing end of life. Wilder was no joke up in till Fury stole his mojo. Wilder's career is now over and people want to sit here and denigrate post fact...that's not how things work and is classic fickleness of boxing. If Usyk beats Fury everyone will say Usyk is jesus, then in the same sentence say fury was an overrated pile of poop. If Fury beats Usyk they will say Usyk was aged out and too small and fury is still overrated. You can't win with boxing fans.

Joshua has looked more relaxed and confident in his last two fights, despite facing two very different kinds of opponents. Wallin has good skills, movement and engine but no power, while Ngannou is low on skills, footwork and stamina but is very powerful and physically strong.

So that's a sign that it's actual progress and just not due to opponents, but a fight with for example Hrgovic would tell us more.

Wouldn't it be something if he goes through all the top contenders and beats Usyk/Fury for undisputed just to get beat by Opetaia a couple of years down the line.

Ortiz just like Wilder was all hype with no substance. Yet another manufactured fighter who had beaten no one, but because he was fighting Wilder was hyped up to the heavens to legitimise another cherry picked opponent.

Who is Ortiz best win? The guy has beaten no one of note before or after Wilder, but like Wilder, had looked great beating hand picked sub par opposition.

Wilder has power for sure, but that's it, and most non casual fans have been calling him out on his weak match making for years. It's no secret, there's no conspiracy. He held the WBC belt like it was a hostage, fighting a string of carefully selected guys ranked well outside the top 10.

I get it though, hyping up Wilder as some world beater legitimises Fury's dreadful resume, so his casual fan base will cling on to this with everything they can, that and dining out on beating Wlad on an off night.

If Fury beats Usyk ill give him full props, but he would still need to beat Joshua, who's been the dominant force this generation regardless of how some may feel. Fury's resume is so thin he needs a few big wins to give him any credibility.

I must say, it is amusing to watch his die hard fans start to back peddle now he's looked less than stellar recently, with his best wins aging like milk. Are we to believe he didn't train for Ngannou? He came in a similar weight and shape for Wilder, yet at that time it was Kronk genius, he's now this heavyweight Marvelous Marvin who walks his foes down and beats them into submission... yet anyone who remembered, saw this same style when he beat Cunningham into submission... eventually. Kudos for getting thoroughly outboxed amd adapting though.

Good analysis, I agree that AJ seems to be on the right path mainly by staying active and with great strategy for getting in line for a shot.
In my opinion Joshua looks pretty good, he's disciplined and fights with a plan. I think he'll get a 3rd fight with Usyk because Fury looks done to me at this point.

Great analysis, fighting often and having a good trainer has helped AJ immensely.

I don't care what Eddie H says, I don't want Usyk to lose to Fury and I don't want AJ-Usyk III.
AJ can get a belt by defeating Hrgovic. Usyk can grab all the belts from Fury and retire to a farm
    in Ukraine.

Joshua’s recent fights have been carefully planned to boost his confidence. None of his opponents were good enough to present a challenge. None had the power to worry Joshua - Ngannou hasn’t the skills to deliver a power shot, forget about the Fury debacle-and Helenius was totally shot. Until he beats a top tier HW I’m not convinced by Hearns matchmaking.
