B-Hop is a very smart fighter and was in the best shape of his life. What do you think of the punch by Calzage? Was it a hard blow? Did Bernard fake it for a rest

best shape of his life? Great shape, but not the best shape of his life. The guy is 43

He exagerrated the low blows no doubt. He had 5 minutes and wanted to take full advantage. Cheap move but he is old and needs every advantage he can get.

I don't like Hopkins, but he just fought a clever fight

Bhops age caught up to him, he was looking for any break he could get. I would of had more respect for him if he would of got KO'd without all the bull****...

The first one that you can see on replay on the ESPN boxing page made my eyes water.

The low blow wasnt a fake, the punch jarred the cup, anyone that has had this happen, wether it be in Baseball or Boxing, knows it's painful. I believe Hopkins milked it a bit to get his stamina back up, but it was a low blow none the less.

Bhop was never in danger of getting stopped, and you know that.

How about the second one, maybe it was just the memory of the first one coming back again.

Did anybody get a replay of the second one? The camera angle was such that you couldn't see what was going on down there and then there was no replay as far as I know.

Yes, he was very smart faking it to buy some time and he can't complain about something he admits to be doing most of his career - hitting guys on the hips, bladder and privates - but Calzaghe admitted to hit him low on purpose in the 2nd to shake off some of the pressure put against him... You kill by the sword and die by the sword, that's just the nature of the game my man, no complaints whatsoever. Hopkins just didn't expect him to come again justlikethat after that KD but the guy has great fighting heart.
