Just watched Rooney and McGinley, Rooney was definitely winning that. That's the thing about the gypsy Bareknuckle scene it's hard to keep up with it as like you said it never reached proper conclusion and both claimed victory when Rooney was the only guy that looked like the winner there.

What are some others Gypsy Bareknuckle scraps worth checking out?

 

I'd never heard of him at the time although he only lives about 8 miles from me. Always good for a laugh though.

I’ve never seen anyone hit a heavy bag before bare fisted.

This was directed by Shane Meadows (This is England) in 1995, for a 15 min short.

It’s his dream to one day do a biopic on Bartley’s life.

Paddy Considine was lined up to portray Bartley.

The last I heard, there were still some issues to be ironed out.

Let’s hope that it happens one day.

Shane is a great writer/director.

I heard that he was going to at one point.

I was shocked at that, as obviously he always used to have hand issues and he wasn’t a puncher.

 

He's got heavy hands. Must have been hell on wheels as a young man.

 

Those were solid punches at 51yo. He would have take some beating on the dirt.
