"Next to Manny, I say that Guzman is the toughest guy out there. Casamayor means nothing. Nate Campbell means nothing. As far as Juan Diaz goes, Manny will pound the sh*t out of him. Juan Diaz is a little bit limited and only a slight upgrade from David Diaz." This is a Bob Arum quote from the latest Ring magazine with Pacquiao on the cover. What are your thoughts on this? Do you agree or disagree with his opinion?
I wouldn't say that Casa and Campbell mean "nothing". Casa may be on the way down but he's still dangerous . Campbell is tough, just ask Juan Diaz. But I agree with Uncle Bob that Juan is limited. It showed in the Campbell fight. He did not have to power to impact Nate or slow him down. If Juan fights Manny this lack of power will really bite him on the ass. Juans no bum, but he's really just a tough contender, that'll not ever beat a Paquaio.
Pac-Man would wreck Juan Diaz (in my opinion)...I can't wait to bet on that fight (if diaz is less than a 2-1 underdog)
I think anyone at 135 whos not David Diaz will give Pac a fight. Casamayor will probably school him for a while until he gets stoped. Nate would hang in there and bang with Pac but will be outgunned, and Juan Diaz will probably outwork Pac and will probably frustrate Pac with his defensesive shell.
Casamayor, Juan Diaz, and Nate, would all give Pac a good fight. So to say that they all mean "nothing" is incorrect in my opinion.
Was he on drugs when he said this?Except for the part where he gives credit to Guzman the rest is bull****
Pac-Man destroys Juan Diaz like there's no tomorrow, this is true. However, JMM is the biggest threat, not Guzman. And Nate Campbell is WBA, IBF, and WBO champ, so he definately doesn't "mean nothing'
No way he destroys Juan Diaz,he destroyed David Diaz who is not on their level,it would be a hard fight for Manny
The Bobfather has been making lots of BS statements lately...good thing others keep revealing the behind the scene dealings. If the Bobfather had Kahn, he would have scored another 5-10 wins against bums before Bob secures a title shot with weakest champ available... ...then after Kahn's victory, Bob would explain how nobody in the division means anything except for the one guy left Kahn would be able to beat.
I think Uncle Bob is potentially priming a Guzman-Pac showdown if all the pieces fall into place. Juan Diaz fell out of the Pac Sweepstakes after losing to Campbell and an unflattering performance against Katsidis. Uncle Bob doesn't want to deal with Campbell or Casamayor. That's the vibe i'm feeling after reading his comments.
