Was going through the front page and ran across this coming from GBP of how the year is mapped out for there biggest draw, apparently the target list is Chavez Jr or Saunders in May, GGG in Sept, and Cotto II in Dec. I think all 3 are winnable fights if they are able to pull it off, how do you see him fairing vs that lineup amd what do you think that would do in terms of legacy for Alvarez.
Canelo comes out on top against Chavez, takes a disputed decision against Saunders but loses to GGG. He beats Cotto again.
Canelo could duck GGG for the next 3 years. Think about it... He could fight: 2017 Saunders, Chavez, Pacquiao 2018 Brook, Lemuiex, Eubank 2019 Mikey Garcia and then finally GGG. GGGs gonna look like Bhop by time these guys fight
If Canelo got the belt from Saunders (via KO), then the belts from GGG (same again), and then retired Cotto - he'd be the FOTY and he'd have a best run of the last 10 years of ANY fighter, fact. But that all stops when he faces Golovkin. So 2 out of 3 ain't too shabby!
From what it looks Chavez is plan A for May Suanders plan b, the rest is as read, I think if he came out on top in all 3 it would set merit FOTY consideration. I think all three fights are winnable depending on what type of shape he's in Chavez above 160 could be the easiest or hardest with his size and durability but probably the most profitable as well followed by GGG then Cotto.
Considering you think he loses to Chavez and GG, how do you see each fight going and which do you expect to be the more entertaining scrap
He gets the nod over Chavez Jr in a good fight, but BJS will clown him and hurt him and beat him on nuetral ground. GGG knocks him out with a jab.
IF that is truly the plan then I really like it. Minus Cotto II. I think there's nothing to prove there. BUT I do realize that one is for the fans, so I don't mind it.
