So now that the "mega fight" concluded, what are your thoughts on this young Mexican prospect? Who by the way doesn't look an eighth Latino. lol.

I wasnt able to see the fight but I heard he got put on ***** street in the 1st. If thats true then his chin is really suspect because Cotto is a blownup lightweight not known for heavy punching.

He certainly doesn't look elite.... his reactions seemed rather slow... he put punches together well and had decent power.. if he improves a lot then he might challenge for a belt... Berto would beat him now

I liked what he showed in spots, but he stil has to work on defense and pace. He has some fast hands and good combos when he pushes it. He needs to think a little more in the ring though, his whole gameplan was a little strange to me, but he really broke down Cotto quickly when he started throwing combos.

I was impressed, I think he has the skills to become a champion

He's only 19 so I hope he doesnt get rushed and thrown in at the deep end too soon

I had never seen him fight and after seeing fight I am convinced he is a skilled fighter, who will go far if his matchmaking is good and he learns quickly

First time I had seen him, he has quick hands and a good variety of punches but he looks easy to hit, maybe cos he is a bit too staright up in his stance. That should of been called a knockdown in the 1st I thought as the ropes kept him up.
