I'd match him up with Steve Forbes next.

I expected something very similar, a good fight with possible troubles early (and there was trouble for Canelo all right!), but Saul box-punch smart using length, strength and skills to break JM Cotto down late.

Excellent learning experience for the 19 year-old, but ever since I'm supporting the Canelo wagon I'm saying there's a LOT of work to do before stepping up, well over a year and 5 solid fights. Canelo reminds me of the young Cotto but many years earlier in his career (he's still a kid), so IMO Golden Boy should give him proper time to develop and not take on any top WW before mid-2011.

Canelo has all the time on his side, so no need to rush, and it was a solid performance vs. an experienced pro, especially at 19.
