There should have been an inquiry into Flip Homansky's motivations in stopping the fight. Listening to the coverage, it appears he stopped it because Chavez didn't want to continue, which is scandalous.

As far as the fight goes, assuming the cut was bad enough to stop the fight (not something I am certain about, since I'm no ringside physician), it should have went to the cards and Randall should have been ahead, giving him the win.

I saw "Fenech-Nelson 3." Fenech won.... Nelson was flabby at 154, while Fenech looked roided up.... Nelson was like age 48 / 49 to Fenech's mere 43 yrs...... Both were well over 40, but Fenech carried the heavier weight much better than Nelson did............ Nelson did a lot of "Rope-a-doping" to no avail....

There was a Nelson interview where he said Fenech was "breathing like a cow" or something. Said he had taken it easy on Fenech or some such, who knows... Maybe he wanted a big fight number four for a payday.

Nelson rope a doped in the first fight too but it didn't help him as I thought Fenech won that fight.
