I thought it was a good fight for boxing....clean and well fought....to skilled guys.....two gentleman of the sport showing heart and good sportsmanship. It was a "plus" for the boxing community.
I voted perhaps if they can't secure a more meaningful fight, but what should happen is Floyd vs Cotto naturally. What is standing in the way of this fight?
I dont think the first fight could have either way. I thought Cotto clearly won. But I dont mind seen these guys fight again.
Cotto is entering his prime, he will get better, Mosley slowly declines, Cotto would win again on points with scores like 117-111
Mosley won the 1st fight but the Damn judges ripped him off:-( if they rematch which i doubt, Mosley beats him convincingly..
This is so wrong for so many reasons I wouldn't know where to start:-( I say move on. The fight was close but I would rather see either one of them face Floyd. Say they fought again and Shane won...now we need a rubber match and Mosley is just getting too old.
I see your point, I was upset that Mosley lost that fight, but as much as I would like to see rematch, it wouldnt benifit him in the long run (3rd fight with fighter like Cotto will definetly would be last). So I guess I would rather see Mosley going after some decent prospect like Cintron or Williams and then try to fight Floyd, if Floyd refuses then its time to retire.
I would like it to happen but I heard and saw Oscar sayin in Sky Sports' Hatton-Mayweather Countdown Show that he had three options for that May 3rd fight - Hatton, Cotto or Mayweather, nobody else - and since Hatton lost, De La Hoya stands in between those Mayweather-Mosley, Cotto-Mayweather and Cotto-Mosley II bouts for half of the year and that really pisses me off!!!
Time to move on . . . both can secure a more meaningful fight. It really hurt me when they first clashed because I like both fighters, Mosley will be overpowered by Cotto again, Mosley is old and out of his prime I'd rather see Mosley fight Williams at this point.
