DLH-Mora is a good matchup. Mora is in DLH's division, has a belt, and just beat one of the top fighters at 154 in Forrest. People should just be used to DLH speaking out of both sides of his mouth by now. Not a big deal, I don't think much of it.
He could speak out of his ass, but with Beware of Dawg and Mundo and Te Tumbo's heads clogging up his colon, no noise is allowed out.
The wanna be billionaire is just a sideshow in boxing and has nothing great to contribute anymore. He has accomplished good things in boxing already but too much is never enough.

If ODH next fight is in fact is final fight then the accomplishments of his final opponent means little. What means the most is who can help ODH sell the most PPV's in one final extravaganza. Thus the possible selection of Sergio Mora doesn't make much sense. This is why I perfer Pac but since talks have seemingly broken off and Margarito is out of the question then I would like to see Oscar fight Cotto.
ODLH will be selling tacos on the street when Richard " The Swiss Banker" Schaefer completes his corporate takeover of GBP.
My personal thought . . . if DLH won't fight for a legitimate title on his legitiimate weight class then he should go straight to retirement without fighting anybody. I give him props for what he has accomplished . . . but if he has no intention of fighting for stature anymore then he should get out of the scene and stop ripping people of their money by putting up farce fights. He has a lot of money already so he doesn't have to be too greedy. :deal
Hmmmm. I have mixed feelings on this. 1. It is really, really fun, and I mean a barrel of crack smoking monkeys in the park, while Fred Sanford and Grady are taking a walk, and drinking ripple, and happen to walk by a passed out Rollo type of fun, to watch Oscar de la Hoya's plans fall apart. He had been playing with the idea of a Manny Pac fight for a while, and I KNEW he would try to lowball Manny financially. It is the reason there will be no Trinidad-DLH II, it WAS the reason for no rubber match against Shane, and probably the reason that Floyd retired prematurely. Oscar and Richard Schaefer and Oscar's hardcore fanbase have these weird fantasies, that because Oscar de la Hoya, is Oscar de la Hoya, that the Entire ****ing Earth has to kneel before his statue in front of the Staples Center. I am going to LAUGH MY ASS OFF if a few things happen. A. Forrest upsets Mora B. Sugar gets SD'd by Mayorga C. Trinidad is now a heavyweight This will leave the panties bunched, at GBP. No opponent for December, and there is NO F'n way Oscar retires, not with his fanbase, and Haterz like me, waiting to watch him win or preferably lose. I will stick to my guns, as my article states, that JC. Superstar Jr. is the PERFECT Cinco de Mayo 09 opponent for the Golden Boy. 1. Same height and reach, both natural Jr. Middles 2. Marketability like a MOFO. This 19 year old gets 200,000 PPV buys for fighting corpses. 3. Intrigue and History 4. The "Revenge" factor 5. Every Mexican/Mexican American in the Western States will watch this on PPV regardless if they feel that Jr. is still too green. An easy 1.5 million buys and a sold out MGM Grand Garden Arena 6. Young Lion vs. Old Chihuahua 7. Need a title? Oscar has Jose Suliaman in his pocket. We can contest it for a WBC International Title, easy! 8. Jr. will have a solid 6 months to run at high altitudes and learn how to slip, parry, dodge and block punches. And spar faster handed guys taller than 6'1. 9. Imagine the Press Conferences and the HBO24/7 series? 10. Most importantly, you can offer Jr. say 8 million, and he would grab it. Win, lose or draw, this fight is perfect for his career. He loses and so what, he lost to a legendary 10 time World Champion, Hall of Famer, ATG. He wins, and he has the first real notch on his gunbelt. :deal
It's true that the DLH is lowballing Pacquiao for a bull**** fight that never mena sanything in terms of stature . . . then how do you look at that? That's greed. My point is if he wants a grand exit from the boxing scene then fight for a belt even if it won't produce much money based on his standard. I mean . . . him fighting anybody would still sell more than 350 buys . . . and that should be enough. And it doesn't have to be Mora . . . it could be Verno Philips or Daniel Santos or Dzinziruk . . . important is he has a chance of going out as a belt holder. But if he is not longer willing to take the risk and fight real fights . . . then retire. He's got millions of $$$ already.
I agree with you, and it looks like he is headed in that direction, if the stars align themselves right. Say if Mora fights his heart out and decisons poor Vernon Mayorga Jr. again. Then we have DLH-Mora in December?? for a WBC title at 154. That is if he is healthy after the fight, and ready for the Biggest Fight of his career 2 months later.
The issue here isn't just hate for DLH it's actually what DLH his self said. First he publicly stated that he's looking to fight the winner of Cotto/Margarito or Pacquiao, please note that before he said that he also claimed that he's NOT going to fight a Puerto Rican because his wife won't allow it. Then as soon as Margarito wins the fight DLH openly says that he ALSO won't fight a Mexican to NOT **** off the Mexican fans in hope of making the Pacquiao fight. Then the Pacquiao fight doesn't go through and he considers fighting Mora, who is a fellow MEXICAN. Even if you like DLH you can't back up the bull**** going on here, it's laughable and silly especially when he's doing all of this publicly while clearly showing that he doesn't give a ****. With Margarito's recent reply to everything DLH said he simply made him look silly and exposed all of his recent actions, don't really think DLH will respond, if he does then there is a good chance this fight MIGHT happen, which I highly doubt. Also I'll have to add that DLH wants someone way smaller or someone in his division but a soft target. That's why even if Cotto won he might have not considered it depending how he actually won, if he looked bad or was hurt numerous times then he might have considered it. The reason why he's turning his back completely on Margarito is his performance against Cotto, even if Margarito looked horrible with his win he might have considered it and quickly.
If you idiots think people hate him just because he's rich and popular, does that mean you guys LOVE him for those reasons?
It's more disgusting how DLH's fans KNOW this but completely ignore it. Won't fight a Rican, won't fight a Mexican? If that isn't him obviously looking for a way not to fight certain guys, I don't know what it. HE contradicts himself so much....and his ****in fanboys still think it's all abot jealousy. thumbsup
