Alexander is purely an arm puncher - inaccurate, no commitment, no power, to his punches.

I don't know why someone says he is good.

I was a big fan of Devon, but his recent performances have left me at a loss for words. Even in his loss to Kotelnik, he demonstrated very good hand speed, and good power in both hands. That's because he was willing to step into his punches and commit. He wouldn't even plant his lead foot for a jab against Bradley, hence the reason he was slapping the guy with his gloves and running.

Boxing deficiencies aside, the guy wanted no part of Bradley, he wouldn't plant his lead foot for a jab because he was scared of getting hit by a guy who lacked real KO power. That disappointed me the most, and it's why I think the kid is a glorified bum who should go back and build himself up on jr wealterweight bottom feeders.

He looked that bad because he was scared of Bradley.

Let me tell you a story about Alfredo Angulo.

This man like Andre Berto is a favored fighter in HBO. He is one of the few priviledged fighters who could make three or four HBO appearances in one year and get paid huge amounts of cash for license fees despite his below average to average type of opponents. Then it was time for him to step up. He fought Kermit Cintron, a power-punching welterweight who moved up to 154 lbs and is on the phase of picking up the pieces of his career that was shattered by his glass-heart reputation. Seems like a good deal for Angulo. he has the HBO hype machine behind his back, he gets paid lots of money, and his first big fight is against a mentally weak opponent.

Then **** happened. It turns out the hype for Angulo was in tremendous excess of his real abilities. Angulo lost, sealing the fate of his career. he would never become an elite fighter, he had been measured but found to be wanting. And so, Angulo was back to fighting the Yorgeys, Rosado, and the Alcines of the world lol. Well at least HBO had not given up on him, he still appears on the network and still being paid good money, thanks to his promoter and other connections.

Same story for Alexander. When Alexander gets back into the ring, he is expecting to get paid a million dollars and still as a headliner for an HBO event. But would Alexander be an elite fighter someday and pay back HBO for all their investments? That remains to be seen but certainly a point worth pondering for the HBO network

Alexander didnt box well but was still very competitive with bradley. He seems to be getting all the heat for the fight not being great but anyone who thought he was going to have a tearup with tim was nuts.

It's a good lose for Alexander. We known for awhile that he was missing something. It's up to his team to fix his weakness. Get him to fight B level guys. Stay away from the top buys. Then once he start improving. Get him to fight the top guys but start off with the guys that would fit his style.
