I've only watched Dwyer twice but both times it was entertaining. He suffers from a problem common to many boxing fans though - he can only see a fight from his own perspective. You need to appreciate that sometimes there are other, perfectly reasonable, perspectives. Sometimes perspective depends on the angle you watch the fight from - that's why judges sit around the ring. What kind of boxing fan are you if you haven't watched a fight live, then gone home & watched a replay and had a different perspective on some rounds? Perspective can also be influenced by the commentary you listen to - as we've seen on many occasions.
I think Dwyer went Parker over AJ as well. I know some of the guys here did but I think that one was pretty clear-cut.
^^^ Lol@ This dingle berry on another thread siding with a fighter that won do to corruption and not actually winning the fight legitimately. Lol
Lol how are you going to spazz out like an incel about an error then say "do" to corruption lmao. Canelo won. I had GGG winning the first time, so there's no bias here. Nice try though.
Dwyer was spot on. Just watched again and scored it 9-3 GGG. Maybe 8-4 at worst. I cannot see how people thought Canelo won. GGG fought a nice fight, kept distance, and jabbed the snot outta Canelo, who missed many of his shots. I may (or someone more technically gifted should) do a slo-mo of each round and count the blows actually landed, as I believe Canelo was gifted far too many. What really struck me in re-watching it was (without sound I might add) was the number of low blows landed by Canelo. Nearly half were below GGGs belt-line and not a dam thing done about it. Respect to Mr. Dwyer here.
No his analysis there was good. I scored that fightto Joshua but it wasn’t the landslide win that most people here perceived it to be, it was very close. Dwyer scored it to Parker or a draw (can’t remember) which I didn’t agree with but the analysis was good. He correctly pointed out the massive oversights most observers made.
Canelo won fair and square, deal with it crybabies. GGG was very unlucky in the first fight but he got bossed in this one. If there’s a third fight it wouldn’t surprise me to see Canelo end it with a body shot. Golovkin was the only fighter hurt in this one.
Andrade was co-commentating for the BBC and was praising GGG from the outset for running the fight with his jab. He was giving GGG the opening rounds that the judges gave to Canelo.
I gave him 2 of the first three as well, Andrade was paying closer attention than most, good for him, Boo Boo was on point.
I'd not heard much from him before but he's an intelligent guy, clearly loves boxing and knows his stuff.
He also made the point that Canelo shouldn't get credit for the win because he failed two drug tests and highlighted the fact that the benefits of PED outlast the point at which an athlete stops taking them. A very valid point often ignored. Boo Boo also isn't Steve Bunce and for that BBC radio listeners should be grateful, as was Mike Costello I reckon. Imagine going on an overseas work trip with Buncey....
Interesting that they brought Andrade to commentate. I might give that radio commentary a go this Saturday and mute Creepy Adam Smith and Froch while they verbally suck AJ off.
One of the biggest problems is people don't know when they're being sold bull****. When Max Kellerman says absolute nonsense like 'Golovkin made be winning the rounds but Canelo is winning the story of the fight' then you know so home cooking complete with a double helping of baloney is about to get served up.
