Thought he was being outboxed in R1 before the KD changed the sway of things. Great in flashes but a fighter above the level of Williams would have beaten him tonight

I thought he was out boxed most of the fight. Similarly to how Saunders, Groves and Korobov all thoroughly out boxed him. Easy to catch with straight shots. And none of the knockdowns scored were through power, it was more Williams not seeing the low-slung left coming from beneath his line of vision.

Coasted to victory like his father in many of his fights.

However, he will never be near the level of snr

Well that’s silly talk because Sr was just turned 24 when he put on that performance against Benn. Jr is 33 this year and hasn’t kind of done anything yet.

So, yeah. Obviously not close to his dad as a fighter.

The old man still looks like he could beat the pair of them.

Strange as from what I saw of the fight he has become an outfighter like his father after the Watson fight.

If he wants to get on PPV he needs to be exciting and he wasn’t that tonight.

He’s 32 and really has to get a shift on- I like the Zach Parker fight up at super middle but Eubank clearly wants to stay at the lower weight.

Hmmm at the start he looked impressive but I don't like his low workrate, which is the opposite of what he used to be like. He'll lose fights in future by trying to pose and showboat around the ring and I'm not sure if Roy Jones Jr is the right man for him.

Thought Williams outboxed him until the first knockdown. After that Eubanks timed him coming in for more knockdowns and sat back the rest of the fight, allowing Williams back in. He did the bare minimum for the win, looked good in patches but low workrate and showboating ain't endearing.

His old style was much better, he’s like a primark version of Roy Jones Jr now

That's ridiculous if true. Is that the reason his chin was like glass tonight, going down off a jab (twice).

A eubank jnr jab at that!

Like I said in the other thread, he didn’t get out of first/second gear. He got his knockdowns and just coasted. I would’ve liked for him to turn the screw because I think Williams was there to be KO’d but despite the showmanship it was a very cautious approach from Eubank, he knew he had won and didn’t want to roll the dice.

Such easy knockdowns for Eubank. Williams was really disappointing tonight.

Does make you wonder if it impacted Williams physically. I take nothing away from Eubank, he did a great job. I did honestly think it was going to be a much closer fight with Williams possibly nicking a decision.

A stone overweight is disgraceful so close to a fight. Explains a lot really doesn't it?

Does anyone know the reason why the fight was originally postponed? Was it injury or lack of preparation from Williams?
