I miss the ring walk with handlers and entourage, it is drama and history. Let the fighters choose their own music, It gives the viewer a glimpse into the fighters persona. Those ring entrances to scripted music were uncomfortable and didn't add any sense of drama. Lets side with the history of the sport and promote traditions like: the ring walk, which add drama. lets get those classic introductions which also heighten the excitement. All it takes is looking at the visuals of old fights from the fifties and sixties, on you-tube, and getting it right, where is the artistry? damn, we are talking millions of dollars and the desire to elevate product. Where is the artistry? where are the aesthetics which take the mundane, crass and elevates them to art, a thing of beauty that any social class, or group can identify and love. That is what boxing was naturally when it was great, events where at the highest level...you cant create electricity, but elements can be added to make it better, all it takes is someone with vision.

If you have a guy in front of you doing nothing , it shouldn't be hard to look anything less than spectacular.

The format was cheesy and lacked the class of a HBO broadcast. I rather boxing stay on Shobox and HBO.

False. Molina was swinging wild like a drunken sailor when he wan't standing there like a fool.

Cans like him make other guys look better than they are , not look worse.

Somebody like Khan would have got him out by the 4th round and looked impressive doing it.

These are the dates that have been announced:

    Friday, March 13
    Andre Berto vs. Josesito Lopez
    Shawn Porter vs. Roberto Garcia

    Saturday, March 28
    Jermell Charlo vs. Vanes Martirosyan
Jhonny Gonzales vs. Gary Russell Jr.

    Saturday, April 4
    Adonis Stevenson vs. Sakio Bika
    Artur Beterbiev vs. Gabriel Campillo

    Saturday, April 11
    Danny Garcia vs. Lamont Peterson
    Andy Lee vs. Peter Quillin

    Saturday, April 18
Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. vs. Andrzej Fonfara

    Saturday, April 24
    Anthony Dirrell vs. Badou Jack
    Daniel Jacobs vs. Caleb Truax

    Saturday, May 9
    Omar Figueroa vs. Ricky Burns

If Mayweather beats Pacquiao on May 2, I wonder if CBS will televise the rebroadcast on the May 9th show? Seems odd if they rebroadcast it on Showtime instead, since the the number of homes that could see it on CBS as opposed to Showtime are so drastically different. That would also give Omar's viewership numbers a boost, and he's an exciting guy.

(If Pac wins, I think HBO gets the rights to show the rematch.)

    June
    Adrien Broner vs. TBA

    July
    Deontay Wilder vs. TBA

anyone know how the viewing figures were in USA? the purses for the fighters looked quite high to me. if not many tuned in this could be an economic flop
