Totally understand that. My question was more rhetorical. The Alvarez fans were obviously the ones booing the decision and their guy because they didn't feel like he had won.

Nothing really changed watching it again except that I had incorrectly remembered a couple of rounds when I posted the RBR in the classic section, but still scored it 116-113 GGG.

GGG looked a little more tight and perhaps nervous in the early going than I had remembered. Canelo was a little sharper defensively and overall than I had expected, but mainly GGG's finish was what was disappointing to me about his performance.

Canelo is a sound technical fighter, but I think his weaknesses in having slow feet, modest power, and especially his stamina is going to cost him dearly. He just has a shitty gas tank for a top level fighter. He has to pace himself conservatively because of it. Naturally, GGG had something to do with Canelo being outworked for a lot of the fight, but I also feel it's due to Canelo's gas tank.

He's going to be in for a rough time at 160 with his modest power and always having to fight at a deliberate pace to conserve energy. He's good technically and slippery, but not THAT slippery. I won't be surprised to see him lose via upset to someone other than GGG or Jacobs by simply being outworked.

HBO's product has become so patronizing and stale since they told Merchant to get lost and Steward passed away. Lampley is past it as well and Buffer cannot get the winners name correct anymore. Their whole product has turned into a train wreck and not even one you glance at out of a morbid curiosity.

At the beginning of the interview, when G is first interviewed, there's a lot of boos, probably because the fans are upset with the draw and not having a winner. During the interview though, G was cheered at times, like when he said thank you to his Kazakhstan fans.

The two times the crowd really were booing was when Max was asking questions to Canelo. The first time it was when he said "Triple G came into this fight known for his vaunted power . . ." and the second time was when he asked Canelo "Would you fight any differently in a rematch".

I could see a Canelo fan booing the statement of Triple G having vaunted power and Canelo being asked if he felt the power. Though there could be some G fans booing Canelo there as well. It's probably a combination of the two.

I recall during the fight there were some pretty loud "CA-NE-LO" chants.

Even Lennox's dimwitted commentary was good for a laugh, his many errors and inaccurate observations... Merchant, Steward, Lewis all in unison was a blast. Now it's just bland and robotic. Half the time I just mute the commentary....

How so? The crowd sounds like they are reacting to Max's questions. When Canelo is actually responding, the boos are no longer heard. If fans were booing Canelo, wouldn't you expect them to be booing when Canelo is talking or right after he finishes what he's saying? The boos can clearly be heard precisely when Max is asking the question. I don't know what to make of it, the boos were very loud though. I'm guessing those boos were from a large section of Triple G fans, I wasn't in the arena so I can't be sure.

What does being the champion have to do with anything? Does the champ get extra points for having a belt?

I had the fight 8 rounds to 4 easily for Golovkin, Harold Lederman had it 8 rounds to 4 for Golovkin, Paulie had it 9 rounds to 3 for Golovkin, Jacobs had it for Golovkin, Lennox Lewis had it for Golovkin, Lomachenko had it for Golovkin, Kovalev had it for Golovkin over 90% in Net polls had it for Golovkin. Yes, the fans booed El Pollo because he ran and did not fight Mexican style like he had promised his fans, they cheered Golovkin because he fought like Mexican style. If he had used body shots he would have knocked El Pollo out, but he did knock a lot of feathers off El Pollo. El Pollo's wing punch could not hurt Golovkin, he just walked right through them. El Pollo owned the judges, referee and boxing commission, although the referee did OK, but El Pollo's favorite judge Byrd is corrupt and always has been, but Byrd had feathers like El Pollo, Byrd's of a feather stick together...........

I know why Max got his job. He father go it for him at ESPN2 years ago, later on he moved up to HBO, but he is so damned biased, Roid Jones is even more biased, Jim Lampley is just an idiot. At least Larry Merchant told it like it was....................they need new commentators with the guts to tell the truth. Paulie raised hell about the low blows.......................so I give him credit for that, in the Kovalev/SOB fight............

The biggest takeaway for me on a second viewing was I paid attention to Adalaide Byrd when the camera was on here during rounds, and I **** you not she was only ever paying attention to Canelo whenever she was on camera. She was the judge setting in the main camera angle shot, so she was visual every round, and whenever she was in view during the rounds she only looked at Canelo. GGG would be right there stalking and popping Canelo and she never looked his way, or watched them both at the same time, at least not when she was on camera.
