Very surprised to see Snipes put up such a good fight, even knocking Holmes to the canvas at one point. Too bad he missed his big chance. It was nice to see Larry go down though.

Snipes was not bad. In good physical condition and eager to throw leather. He had a good bang for his size too. he's one of those guys that people overlook until he's actually in the ring and you realise that he's no joke.

He was a little hesitant in there with Holmes until he found his footing. But I totally agree, I think he is a great boxer with a lot of heart. And again, nice to see Snipes put him down like that, if only for a few seconds.

Snipes had a powerful right hand, but, in no way, outside of that knockdown, was he ready for Larry Holmes. Him and Mike Weaver, however, perfect fight.

Snipes gave a very good account of himself. His conduct after the fight was stopped was another story

I was hoping Cosell's toupee would fall off, like during the LeDoux/Boudreaux postfight melee, but unfortunately not.

    Holmes showed heart as usual.

Yes Snipes is a bit underrated he was unlucky not to get the nod vs Tim Witherspoon i thought Snipes won, and he was always in exciting fights.
