what are your thoughts when it comes to this situation.

BHOP says Ward is like a son. Floyd says Broner is like a "lil bro".
and for the most part, i think Ward and Broner agree.
do you think their love/respect for eachother is genuine or are the older cats fearful of the next generation?

it may be genuine respect based on Floyd and Bhop usually giving them good advice to help them be better, but i would love to see these fights down the line one day as a "pass the torch" kind of thing. anyways, i got Ward schooling Bhop and Floyd schooling Broner if they ever take place.

    what do you think? :think

I wouldn't put Floyd-Broner in the same category, at least as of yet, as I believe there's a decent chance that fight could happen if Broner keeps raising his profile and lands in the same division. I think Floyd is the kind of person who would beat up his little brother anyway if the money was right, and I think Broner would definitely want it.

that's up to them whether they face eachother or not, sometimes it's hard to hit a close friend, even in sparring

Ward made LHW Dawson drop to 168.

Broner just now moved up to be still 2 full divisions below Floyd.

They're just fights that won't happen. No secret.

    Hopkins would fight Ward.

You put money on the table, Hopkins fights.

    He fights for legacy.

    He's not a *****.

    Who does Hopkins duck?

    Dawson? Fought him twice.

    Let's be real here.

Hopkins doesn't have the reputation for ducking.

If Broner starts blastin through 140, knockin people out cold. Floyd will avoid the **** outta Broner.

Hopkins is too physically limited at 48 years old to have a realistic chance against Ward. He wouldn't get beat up, but he has trouble, getting his body, to move in ways that allow him to set up his stuff. His reaction time, and hand speed is also a bit slower now, and we have already seen that when he is in with a guy with good boxing ability, decent defense, and speed, it puts him in that tentative, I want to do it, but my body doesn't let me mode. His work rate against Dawson was extremely low. He was finding that on the inside, Dawson was letting off 2 or 3 shots to his one. He has nothing to prove either. The Hopkins from the Tarver fight, wouldn't have a problem fighting Ward.

Floyd on the other hand is just being a *****. If Broner keeps developing and getting better, he would be a real threat to Floyd. Floyd would still have a little height on Broner, but it would be the battle of the shoulder roll defensive styles. I think it would be a hell of a fight in about a year to year and a half. We know Floyd doesn't have the balls for that though. Broner is the next big superstar in boxing. If he stays undefeated in the next year or two, it would be a fight where Floyd would get his 100 Million.

Floyd Mayweather is being honest, he would destroy Broner, probably end his career.

    Bernard Hopkins is being sensible.

Adrien Broner will never beat Floyd, until Floyd's at least in his late 40s like Hopkins. Floyd has been taking care of his body all throughout his career similar to Bernard Hopkins.

I think they may view Ward and Broner as tourch bearers, so to speak. Nothing more, nothing less.

Hopkins doesnt face Ward because he respects Ward, likes Ward, and also probably knows he would lose to Ward at this stage.

Floyd doesnt fight Broner because it would interfere with the establishment making Broner into an undefeated Floyd clone. Has nothing to do with respect or thinking he would lose. Has to do with not touching the guy being groomed to be his successor.

I highly doubt Mayweather thinks he would have much danger of losing to Broner.

Real recognize real... mutual respect between the two (Ward/BHop and Floyd/Floyd Jr)
