He's a really exciting puncher, but all of that lateral movement seemed to go to waste. It's a shame GGG is on bad terms with Abel Sanchez. He might teach Madrimov some patience. Short steps, ring cutting, etc. I don't think Madrimov has the boxing chops or cardio to be cute fighting in elipses like that for 12, but he has the punching power and physical durability to walk guys down. He'll probably go pretty far regardless. And he'll entertain everybody who sees him do it. The WBA have him 6 at SWW. Not sure how easily he'll be able to land a fight with JRock or Lara or whoever.
His movement kind of reminds me of a Capoera practitioner. He needs quite a bit of refinement, but I like his unorthodox style. His movements don't always leave him in the ideal position to punch.
I saw him trying out his new lateral movement but he better stop doing it so often when up against better comp. It was kinda awkward at times but he was lucky to have a bum in front of him cuz a better foe would have timed him. He is a work in progress but I hope to see him find his identity soon.
Might've been a bum, but he stopped him in the same round Errol Spence did. Only two times Barrera has been finished to date. Capoeira is a good shout lol.
