 For not having much amatuer experience they both not too bad, but neither is champion material. Jr one of the worst champions ever. I hope he fights Canelo and get it over with. Canelo at least shows promise Jr showed abit in the Duddy fight, but hes abandoned his jab since then. Hes nothing without a jab.

Well nothing shows ignorance like generalizing people.

Regardless of what you may think JCC Jr. is actually looked down upon amongst us. Sure there is the hardcore fans who will say he is legit but the majority of us know he is making a career out of a name.
The kid is average at best and we know it. Dont assume we all think he is an ATG.

Now Canelo. Thats someone we are fully supporting.

Yea you said it bro. If anything I want to see that kid retire. I hate what he does for Mexican boxing. Finito Lopez son now hes a fighter Mexico should get behind on, but sadly hype exists everywhere in the world.

My thoughts are that they're both Glass Jawed Frauds that couldn't hold up their respective pops' jock straps but Hearns sucks even worse and will probably end Chavez's two year KO drought.

JCC Jr. should fight Rubio, who deserves the title shot. But instead JCC is taking on 2 guys outside the top 10 in Hearns and Manfredo neither guy has even fought for any version of the WBC title. Rubio has fought in a dozen WBC title fights and is the rightful mandatory challenger.

Wait what?? You want him to retire??

You must be a hater. Let the kid prove himself. Eventually he will have to face top opposition and im thinking that is going to be soon as he has us all calling for better fights. No more bums. Although his last fight was not bad. Zbik actually gave such a good showing which i had the fight a draw and i would like to see him again. Solid fundamentals with speed and decent pop.
I think Zbik is one of those guys we didnt know about but showed good skills in his fight.
After the fight i actually wanted to see more of Zbik than JCC Jr....

exactly! why retire? let's go an fight, there is no shame on losing. If the kid proves to be good, then welcome to the boxing arena.
I know many mexicans that are embarrased with the farse of his championship and fighting bums, but then...who buy those PPV? who generates the big sales? mexicans that are still thinking about the real chavez sr.
Canelo on the other hand- even if his championship is undeserved-has been fighting way better opposition and looking much sharper at very young age.I have no complain about Canelo-other than if u r a champ, fight real contenders or give it up.

i'm willing to bet that a fight between their fathers would be more entertaining right now even thought they're both in their 50s and both their fathers still have more boxing skills than their kids

    :hat

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the WBC officially did NOT sanction this fight so:

    1. This is not a title fight.
    2. JCC Jr. can take another fight if he wins this before facing mandatory challenger Sergio Martinez.

I don't know, man. If you look at their last few opponents, Zbik is a level higher than either Rhodes or Hatton.

That's because UFC pulls ex-NFL guys and college wrestlers, trains them for 1 yr and throws them in with a name fighter who is just another product of their hype machine.

If the UFC was actually bringing in fighters from other organizations you could maybe say that, but since they aren't... UFC is only one step above WWE.
