Chavez deserves a little more credit than he gets.

Some interesting points raised here, I think Manfredo will beat Chavez if Hearns can't.

Because one thing that is ironclad about Jr is that his opponents will land on him, his defense is horrendous, so Top Rank has been very careful to put him in there with guys that don't have much power. Rubio is about as a basic a fighter as it gets where he's pretty much a one-two throwing headhunter, but he can punch well and takes a pretty good shot. They know Chavez Jr won't be able to get out of the way of Rubio's straight right even if he knows it's coming.

Manfredo is not that good a fighter, Chavez would probably edge him. And about Ronald Hearns vs. Chavez? The promoters are sort of setting it up that Ronald Hearns will lose and probably will since Ronald really has not had the time and tuneups to recover from the Strum fight. i want Ronald to win, but he needed some tuneups to get back and use the Strum fight experience to learn and get better. Ronald is 6-3 inches tall, but he only has a 73 inch reach. His father is 6-1 1/2 and has a 78 inch reach. Ronald has a very average reach for a guy his height.
