I'm sure this has been done before, but what are everyone's thoughts on Jorge Castro? His first fight with John David Jackson is one of my all time favorites, and his record speaks for itself.........like I said, this has probably been done before, probably by Russell :good, but I thought I'd give it another shot. So what's everyone think?

I'm wouldn't say that; most of his biggest wins (outside of the first Jackson fight) came on very questionable decisions on his home turf. I would say he has one of the most deceiving records of all time.

He really wasn't anything great - a somewhat cagey brawler, big puncher, tough chin, but very, very crude. His losses to Norris, Takehara, and an ancient Duran were very embarrassing and showed his limitations.

Very tough, but also very limited.

What hometown decisions did Castro receive?

Both Johnson fights, and the Jackson rematch.

ATG durability..seriously one tough mofo. But as said before a pretty crude brawler who lacked world class qualities in other areas.

Really provided a great service to the sport fighting nearly 150 times in his career in 10 different countries.

Were these close fights or out and out robberies?

Reggie Johnson clearly beat him IMO, and got robbed.

He knocked down Jackson twice in the second fight, I know that.

i know all of Johnson's losses could have been given to him because all of his losses were extremely close.

Except for Roy Jones of course, Roy just blew him out of the water, i don't even think Reggie won a round.

Castro is a good fighter. Reggie is a great fighter.

I remember at least one or both of those KD calls was kinda questionable.

But even with both those KDs added in, the decision was still somewhat questionable.

I remember a cut Castro with eyes almost swollen shut throwing a wild punch and destroying his opponent. Castro was a tough s.o.b.!
