How far is he likely to go? Can he get away with using his style as he goes up the levels? Does he have enough power to keep people off?

Just going to say other than lacking power seems very good
Needs to keep a lil more distance than he did last night though imo

How far? You look at the other top prospects like Buatsi and Cordina you look at them and they just ooze class and almost have an elite aura about them. When you look at Kelly the first thing you pick up on are his vulnerabilities and weaknesses. Be great if he does reach the top level as he is entertaining. Too many top fighters nowadays are dull and boring. I personally think lack of power will ultimately be his downfall.

Fighters with less abilities have become world champions...

Needs to drop some of the flashy stuff. That's all well and good when you're completely domimating a guy and he can't land a glove on you (like Saunders/Lemeiux for example). However, when a guy keeps coming forward and tagging you, it's unnecessary. Kelly was tagged quite a lot last night and if he doesn't learn when to fight and when to showboat, he will be iced as he moves up the levels.

When he planted his feet and pushed the opponent back, he looked very good. That's what he should've done last night and forced the stoppage.

Lots of potential and great skills, poor ring IQ at the moment. Lots of room for improvement. Hope he fulfills potential because he could be excellent.

I think he's trying too hard to dazzle because he knows he's got the beating of his opponent so he wants to do it in style to move himself forward and into the spotlight faster. He's great for highlight reels as every fight he shows flashes of entertaining stuff, but ultimately we're not going to learn how good he is until he is truly tested. Conor Benn isn't anywhere near the test he needs but I hope that fight happens this year otherwise it will never happen and we need to see Benn made a total fool of after running his mouth in the build up.

I thought he was a pain in the arse last night

A classic case of believing your own hype.

I've no real issues with the show boating, but at stages he was looking and interacting with people in the front row, and the one that really got my tail up was at one stage in the corner when Booth was talking to him he was too busy looking around and singing the ****ing song that was on the loud speaker.

Win a worthwhile fight before acting the Hamed first.

He's bound to be ko'd sooner than later It's in the stars

When he decides to stop ****ing about and fights like he did in the second half of the fight he will do fine, but if he continues to mess about he will get knocked out for sure. It's up to him how far he goes because he has loads of ability.

On that performance don’t think he will win a world title. Not enough power.

Also made himself look a complete prat last night doing that head movement showboating against a guy with an 18% KO ratio.

I don't mind seeing Josh be a bit flashy and a different style

Not sure how far he'll go, but happy to keep watching

Very talented but trying to show off a little too much, will hopefully cut out some of the showboating as he moves up levels!

He’s got loads of skill, fantastic lateral movement & footwork, he’s fast & elusive & throws some beautiful shots from all sorts of angles. I don’t mind the hands down and the showboating but it’s a fine balance between doing that and dishing out the punishment. He does way too much of the former & not enough of the latter. Teofimo Lopez as an example has got the balance right at the minute.

Lack of power isn’t that bad...Malignaggi got away with that but he needs more punch output instead of admiring his own work.

He's a KO waiting to happen, too much flashiness for someone who hasn't even won a belt.

They’ve ordered him to fight the winner of the avanysan/Lerranga rematch so let’s see if he mans up after all that showboating

No doubt a great talent but let’s see him in with some tough opponents now please

Difficult to judge until he fights the European champion. He should fight Jenkins next see if he can win the British then into the European very next fight. I don't know much about Jenkins to be honest but must be decent being British champion.
