Now I am not saying that PAC vs pbf would look anything like that fight , I know that styles make fights and that Also was quite a while ago ..

But still , I couldn't help but notice zabs ability to land flush with the straight left for the first 4 rounds or so . Right down the pipe ... With 10oz gloves too.

I hear some people saying how pbf is going to outclass pacquiao and not get touched , I feel like pacmans straight left is levels above zabs . And he won't have trouble landing them, maybe not all the time , but he will land some

    Thoughts ?

The main punch during this fight will be Floyd's straight right, mark my words.

I'd be willing to bet that the real telling punch is Manny's jab. That will tell the story of this fight...

Jab to the body :good...there's truly no defense for it. Especially given Mayweather's lengthy reach.

Mayweather's jab will appear to have never been as sharp before. But it'll be the jab to the body that will constantly leave Pacquiao in his tracks.

Unless you superman punch your way over it :think. That move would be completely unprecedented and highly unlikely...so I don't see it being countered anytime soon by Pacman.

It'll be Manilla Ice that will hit Floyd...not the straight left. The OVERHAND left is what will catch Mayweather when he presses forward looking for openings.

Right. But what punch lands/doesn't land that opens/doesn't open that up?

Seriously, this fight comes down to whether Manny can open Floyd up with the jab.

While styles clearly make fights, I too have looked at this fight for clues of what to expect when they fight. One cant help but notice the right hook that CLEARLY caught Mayweather off guard when reaching for a straight right to the stomach (and yes, this should have been called a knockdown). Manny has been working on that right hook quite a bit, and even though I see Mayweather outclassing him, I see that right hook presenting some problems at some point in the fight.

This is generally the best weapon against lefties so this will be the most important punch for Floyd. But don't count Pac landing his money shot. I don't believe this fight will be dominated by any of the two fighters

What the hell do you mean "I know that styles make fights", Judah was able to land because of his speed, Manny has speed.

I think Floyd's ability to dictate the rhythm of a fight will outclass Manny. It is not his jab or right hand but the silent agreement he makes almost every fighter take. They throw a barrage of punches, have no effect, hit air and then are popped by this jab or being held. That takes a toll on a fighter.

I think Floyd now is better then Floyd then. I just have a feeling. Of course, Pacquiao is much better than Zab.

  12. This has been noted before. The Floyd crew's rebuttal is as follows:

    1) What you are seeing didn't really happen. The "punch stats" for the first rounds are not particularly good for Zab.

    2) Floyd cooped a few hits only because he fought Zab toe 2 toe, which he doesn't usually do. The fight really shows how good Floyd is, because he fought straight on with Judah and didn't get hit very much.

    3) There is nothing to be noted it the almost-knockdown. Zab stomped on Floyds foot and hit Floyd while he was trying to free the foot.

Mayweather has problems with southpaws, that's my thought... but still he's managed to beat them all.

My thoughts are this ...................... if Floyd fights like he did against De La Hoya , Hatton & Marquez , Pac is eventually gonna hunt him down and stop him !!!!!!!

He will not be able to stand on the outside and pot shot Pacquiao he will have to at several points in the fight , fight Pacquiao !!!!!!!

zab did well in the 1st 4 but i think a lot of that is because floyd is not a fast starter. he likes to work the guy out then make his move. thing is pacman is a very fast starter so that could be dangerous...i still got floyd by wide ud. 2 slick!
